Special Check-In Instructions

Please note that the hotel is currently completing an expansion on the western adjacent property of the resort. This affects the views of several guestrooms and will also affect the lobby and pool areas of the resort February through early March 2012. The existing resort including meeting space, our restaurant, Siena, and The Estate Cave including Spa Terra and Trinitas Tasting room, are not affected by the expansion. The entire project is on schedule for completion at the end of April 2012.

At the Meritage Resort, we know your room is your sanctuary. Whether traveling for business or pleasure, your room at the Meritage will offer the luxury, convenience, and restfulness you need to fully enjoy your visit. Guestrooms feature Tuscan-inspired decor, including hand-painted details and rich fabrics. Spend a restful night on a pillowtop mattress covered with a down duvet and plenty of fluffy down/feather pillows. Flatscreen TVs come with DVD players.

Walk into your room and you are greeted with a welcome bottle of wine to enjoy during your stay. Compact refrigerators are stocked with bottled waters and beverages refreshed daily (all included in resort fee). Coffeemakers brew Peerless Coffees or enjoy Numi teas. Wireless and wired high-speed Internet access are available and included in your resort fee.

Welcoming spacious bathrooms include granite-topped vanities, plush robes, makeup/shaving mirrors, Gilchrist and Soames bath products, and separate water closets. Some bathrooms have shower/tub combination with deep soaking tubs; others have showers only. Some rooms come with furnished balconies or patios (not guaranteed).

Guestrooms and all other interior areas are nonsmoking. Smoking is permitted only on balconies or patios, or in the uncovered areas of the Vineyard Terrace overlooking the pool.

Our signature restaurant, Siena, at The Meritage features a menu gathered from California’s finest ingredients inspired by Tuscany. Each serving at Siena is prepared fresh from local organic farms with farm-raised beef, artisan cheeses, and more.

Inside the Estate Cave, the Trinitas Cellars Tasting Room presents The Meritage Resort’s signature winery and tasting room. Trinitas Cellars of the Napa Valley celebrates the wine country lifestyle by creating hand-crafted wines from some of the most exceptional growing regions in Northern California such as Mendocino, Carneros and Napa Valley. Visit the tasting room – a great way to start or finish a day of wine tasting. Open Daily.

On Thursday and Fridays enjoy wine tasting, complimentary for all guests. On Thursdays, taste Trinitas Cellar's latest releases from 5pm-6pm in the Trinitas Tasting room in the Estate Cave. Friday nights a nearby winery will provide tastings in our lobby from %:30pm to 6:30pm.

“MUCH better than i expected”

loved everything about the place... the grapevine trail, bocce ball by the pool, and the fire pit were all highlights. and a super nice bartender. i'd definitely go back.

“Meritage Stay”

We stayed in a caneros suite with a balcony, the room was quite nice but very far from hotel lobby. Menu selection was limited but good quality, service trays were beat up. My wife enjoyed the spa experience. Parking is a challenge and the time share attack was annoying. Overall very nice but too expensive relative to the distance to wine tastings.

Don't miss Spring Mountain wine tastings, most need appointments.

“I would go back in a heartbeat!!”

The Hotel was just a beautiful place to stay. Very quite and peaceful, felt safe and secure, we would go back again. My wife and I just had a great time, thats really all I can say.

Area recommendations

If you want quite and peaceful, go to this hotel, but if you want a little faster pace go down town.

“great hotel, but no close to town”

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, but the location is a minus, too far away from downtown. However, a courtesy van was provided every 30 minutes, which we did use.

“Napa with class”

The Meritage made my first visit to Napa a truly memorable one. The hotel lobby greets visitors with warmth from the huge fireplace and warmth of the employees there to help. Lovely tables adorned with lighted candles and greenery furnish the walkway to the roomsThe beds were very, very comfortable, supplied with an abundance of pillows and down comforter. The complimentary bottle of wine and water, which we were encouraged to drink was a nice added touch. I would like to have had a small table to use for delivered meals as we had to juggle room service meals on our lap. This is the only negative to our time. We used three different concierges who suggested and made reservations for our meals and tours. Everyone was such a pleasureable experience. We were so glad we had asked for help and used their suggestions. We also had massages and were very pleased with the service and the facilities. We would definitely return.

Area recommendations

Main Street/River area Napa had great restaurants. Yountville, particularly Washington St. had very nice upscale places. Don't miss Oakville Grocery on 29 between Yountville and St. Helena.

Getting around

Highly recommend Ron, of Destination Drivers to take you around to the wineries. He drives your car, you relax. Ron takes you to places you want to go, or if you are not sure, based on your likes, he will make suggestions. We had some of both choices and were very pleased with all the places we visited.

“Nice, Peaceful, & Friendly”

Everything was perfect at check in. Everyone was very friendly and helpful especially at the concierge desk. Ordered room service and food was delicious. Can't wait to stay there again....wish I was there longer.

“OK But.....”

Hotel was nice, but at checkin expected to get a room with a balcony, but we didn't get one. The next day they did move us to a new room. Biggest complaint we had with hotel was the concierge service. Had to wait in lines to talk to someone & the concierges were always talking on the phone. It is very rude to have a concierge pick up a phone & wait on the phone customer while there are customers waiting in line. I would recommend having someone else answer the phone while there are customers in line.
