“Cheaper but loud”
As it is an older place, it was pretty loud with footsteps and even the clientele in the pool/parking area later at night.
“Work on the basics”
We arrived about an hour before official check-in time. Our room wasn't ready, so the guy behind the counter gave us directions to a couple of tasting rooms. That was OK, made sense and I appreciated him offering us a couple of ideas for things to do. The location was awesome - everything is within walking distance. When we came back our room was ready. The keycard was required for the elevator. The lights indicating the card was accepted didn't work. And it smelled funny. Our room smelled terrible - like cheap leather - but first visual impression was positive. It looked updated so I was pleased. The bathroom was much less than pleasing. There was mold in the toilet, pubic hairs all over and around the toilet, and pink mold around the shower drain. Gross. We went back to the lobby to report the nastiness. The guy behind the counter tried to argue with me. I know what mold looks like. I know what pubic hairs look like. Just clean them up. When we came back it was sort of cleaned. Still lots of pubic hairs and mold in the shower. That night we found that the light over the sink didn't work. The next day we discovered that the shower didn't drain. *sigh* So bottom line is that you can tell they're trying to change their image (hence the renaming and remodel), but it won't work if they can't get the basics (like bathroom cleanliness) down. Oh, and if your customer says that their bathroom is disgusting don't argue. Just clean it.
“the perfect fascad”
This place advetises as napa suites and beautique. This place is a motel 6 with granite sinks.Plumbing noises, bad TV reception,no service, over priced cause its high season at Napa.Place is a dump..Met people in Napa, told me they didnt even know the place.
“Worked for what we needed”
I booked last minute and was given the reservation as an unpublished deal. We needed something for a children's soccer tournament so expectations were not really high. However, location was perfect and made it easier to get everyone fed and keep entertained. It seemed to have been going through some sort of remodel as their was a pile of furniture in one corner of parking lot and blocked of areas by ice and soda machine-both which did not work. Though concierge did bring ice from else where to us on our first night. Staff were friendly and pleasant, rooms a bit small but pleasant as well.
“Remodeling inconvenience and bed bugs”
I am very disappointed. I've stayed at this place 2 other times and was fairly satisfied. This this not only is the whole place undergoing remodeling my daugter who slept on the pull out couch woke up with bed bug bites. When we checked out I informed the front desk clerk he brushed it if by saying , "oh no". That was it. I hav to say I won't be coming back anytime soon.
“blame the cleaner game”
The hotel room was filthy. We weren't expecting much from a travelodge, but it was really gross...hair on the bathroom walls, dirty cups, filthy coffee machine, dirty washroom, etc. When we checked out the desk person did nothing to "make it right for us", but kept saying "yeah, I know, I've been telling the cleaning staff to make sure the rooms are clean"
“Good for the money”
Not much to say - it's clean, staff were friendly room was okay. Not the newest property but the cheapest. Parking is free but may get a problem - we got the very last parking spot that day, and I'm unsure what their strategy is in case they run out of parking. Seems like there's a lot of street parking though.
“we couldn't sleep!!!!!”
The door of the room was broken and we had serious problems to opened and colsed it every time. We couldn't sleep during the whole night because the room was close to some work's room (laundry or something) very visited during the whole night. The workers were very unconsidered because they did a really hard noise. We told that to the hotel's worker and he said it wasn't his problem and there wasn't any offset for the continual and hard disturbance.
“Completely Disappointed!”
Completely disappointed. Although check in went well, as soon as we got in the room, a dirty towel and coffee cup, along with a dirty wet towel and open soap in the shower. Disgusted and completely disappointed. They gave us a new room, but then after sleeping in it one night, saw that the sheet was dirty. Grossed out! Wouldn't recommend at all, eventhough the price was right and location fabulous! Luckily we were there for a wedding and barely in our room!
“Close to the Wine Train”
Our room was about the same as any other name-brand motel. A big plus for us was that it was about five minutes from the Wine Train, which is what brought us to Napa in the first place. I think it was overpriced (even with the Expedia discount), but competitive with other motels in the area. Our room in South Lake Tahoe the next day (also booked through Expedia) was about two-thirds the cost and easily of the same quality. Parking is very limited and when we returned from our dinner ride, we needed to park in the back of the building in an open public lot (or on the street). All in all, there was nothing to prevent us from staying there again.
