Nice hotel, horrible rooms

Hotel grounds are great, restaurant, lounge great but rooms are horrible, time for renovations. Would not recommend to anyone, too many nicer hotels in Nairobi to stay in.

Stayed here in transit for the night in Nairobi, its convenient to the airport given the Nairobi Traffic Situation. Can be Pricey though. Its nice, tidy and secure. However it is aimed at top end tourist and the prices reflect that everywhere.

Excellent Hotel. Had business at Parkside towers which is just across the street. Taxi is cheap from Airport to hotel - about 1800 KES. Rooms are nice - not small. Note the bathroom is not enclosed. This means that the sink is inside the room - separated by a partition and the pot and shower is separated by a glass door that does not close properly. If you have a long bath - the whole room can turn steamy. The city side rooms can be noisy. That said - what class service. I mean for Africa, the service in Ole-Sereni is par excellence. Special commendation to Agnes on the front desk. I had thrown so many curve balls requests at the lady and she came out not only on the top but hit it over the fence. Exemplary. I would stay here just for the fantastic service. Concierge and the travel desk is also fantastic - remember to give them time to make arrangements for you. Kudos to the hotel for finding such world class staff. Food - good. Braised lamb, Ostrich is excellent.

Pros: Proximity to airport. Friendly, efficient and ver helpful staff.
Cons: Balcony in the city facing rooms.
Great overnight stay. The staff went out of their way to make sue I was well looked after.

Lovely hotel but a little nosiy for us

Lovely hotel, staff were very helpful and freindly and is perfect if you are needing transfer to the airport which is 10 mins away but we did find it noisy in the early morning ie people talking, doors shuting etc., Saying that it was a clean comfortable hotel - lovely comfortable bed and the food was good, however we ate in the snack bar and had lovely food there, did not eat in the big 5 restaruant but food did look good.

Well situated hotel between airports

Pros: Comfortable, clean room and good security
Cons: Reception efficiency
Good security, very slow check-in. Helpful but we arrived late at night and simply checking in must have taken 45 minutes. Included 10 mins to get the wifi code to work. Our luggage followed us to the room some 10 minutes later - we thought it had gotten lost. Emailed hotel twice requesting a taxi or shuttle to meet at Jomo Kenyatta Intl. No response. Called hotel, reception said no problem - they would confirm by email - but they never did. I gave up and organised transport separately. Reception needs to be much more efficient. Breakfast very good but extremely expensive.
