The motel was worth every penny. We decided to go a day earlier to avoid traffic this year and our rental wasn't ready until after 2. We needed late check out at the last minute and the management was more than accomodating. The restraunt next door also named Owen's was amazing. The prime rib was delicious and the pricing was very reasonable. We will be staying again next year.
Was a bit run down, but we did see construction going on to the pool and new decks and wooden stairs. I would stay again and give it another try. Price through Expedia was good and was right on the beach and next diie to a pier.

We stayed in ocean facing room for 5 nights in June. Weather was perfect, beach was great. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. It's in a good location, close to restaurants shops etc, but not too close, so it was quiet not noisy at night.

Old school motel, right on the beach, no frills, close to everything, including Jeannette's pier. Walking distance to the pier, Sam & Omie's, Seven Eleven to stock up on refreshments, and Dune Burger to grab a quick bite. Walk out of room right on beach, when it gets too hot, go to their pool. Could use a few updates, a coffee maker and an electric outlet in the bathroom, but hey, who cares, you are in the Outer Banks on vacation to get away from it all!

Perhaps the most popular tourist destination on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, Nags Head boasts a history steeped in legends of sea-going scoundrels, including the infamous pirate Blackbeard. Today visitors flock here for the nature trails, wildlife refuges, shipwreck remains, historic sites, and the beautiful beaches and world-class fishing. Hang gliding is offered at Jockey’s Ridge, one of the few remaining giant sand dunes on the Atlantic coast.
