Great location at OBX

Nags Head Inn was conveniently located between Manteo and Corolla which is where we were headed. Great facilities and very personable staff.

Location, Location, Location

Pros: Location, location, location
Cons: Bathroom fan
Location: Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Wild Horse Safari, Elizabethan Gardens, Migrating dunes, Sam & Omies for breakfast, Blue Moon for dinner
My wife and I and another couple enjoyed a wonderful 4 night long weekend at the Nags Head Inn (more of a hotel than an inn). It was centrally located on the Outer Banks right on the beach. The sunrises and moonrises were equally spectacular in their own way out over the ocean from our 3rd floor balconies and beds. 4th & 5th floor rooms were a little more expensive. We could see everything that was important from 3 just fine. Ocean side is worth the extra! The rooms were clean and efficient (microwave, refrigerator, flat screen TV). The coffee was hot and available early as promised on the second floor each morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't avail ourselves of the pool or other amenities. Only negative was the bathroom fan which made all the right noises but didn't move much (any) air out.

Good location and nice staff

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: Convenient location to everything. Staff was great. Under cover parking area.
Cons: 1. Check the AC filters in the rooms. Room was musty and humid. 2. They have a coffee station in the lobby but no coffee. Simply put coffee out!
Location: Nags Head on the beach road. Fishing piers, shopping and great food all near by.
Easy access to the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is obvious that the property is mature but they do a nice job keeping the grounds clean inside and out.

Most disgusting hotel room I've ever stayed in!

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The rooms gutted and remodeled
If you're idea of a great beach hotel is mold all over the walls, hair in the sink and on the floors of the bathroom, sand and dirt on the carpet, beat up furniture, mildew smell coming from the air conditioner and threadbare sheets and all for the low price of $250 a night then this is the hotel for you. Seriously this is the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in and I have traveled a lot. I would never recommend this nightmare to anyone.

Epäsiisti hotelli rannalla

Siivoojan käytyä huone oli vain osittain siivottu. Kokolattiamatto on nähnyt parhaat päivänsä. Parvekkeelta upeat näkymät merelle. Avulias henkilökunta. Hiljaiset huoneet.

Most of the staff were pleasant, cost was too high for the quality of the hotel.

Overpriced for the hotel quality but nice location

Posted 14-Jul-2014
I have stayed at several hotels over the past 5 years due to travel with work. I did this trip as a small weekend getaway. I based my purchase on other recommendations, but found that the quality was seriously lacking vs other hotels that I stay at. The 15 ft by 15 ft indoor pool was very dirty due to sand from beach, the 3 seater hot tub was the same. Rooms on the road side had a lot of traffic noise and the had the continental breakfast room in the bedroom beside mine. Needless to say it was hard to sleep with 10-15 people next door listening to the news and talking over breakfast. Not satisfied with my stay and definitely not satisfied that it costs as much per night as most luxury hotels in Myrtle Beach that are 25 years newer.
