I spend a lot of time traveling Japan and being near to a main station is a big help. This is not a big service, American style hotel but the staff are friendly, the check in time is a little earlier at 1pm, there is a adequate breakfast (although Nagoya as a really good breakfast culture to experience) and the rooms are simple and comfortable. If your not used to Japan this is not for you, but if you are then its a good choice.
I stayed in Nagoya for 3 nights at this hotel. I was surprised by the condition and services for the money I paid. It was one of the best experience with a hotel I've ever had. The room is clean and the staffs are great. The location is near subway stop (Fushimi) and there are plenty of good options for food nearby. It is also near the Science Museum and the Flea Market. Also, the Sakae is only a few blocks away. The room is typical size for hotels in Japan. But I think two people can fit in their small room.
We only stayed one night and arrived at the hotel at 10.30am. Our room was not ready but they upgraded us to a superior room overlooking Nagoya Castle and then offered us complimentary snacks and drinks from the library room whilst we waited for our room. The concierge arranged to have our suitcases sent from their hotel to our next hotel in Koyoto and the cost for 2 cases was less than Aud$30! Because we were going on an over night trek we did not want to lug the extra cases. The staff are fantastic and a luxury hotel well worth the money. They even offer a shuttle bus into the train station and central Negoya
