We chose to stay at this hotel as previously we stayed at the Lotte Hotel in Myeong dong and thought it was overrated.
This hotel had everything we had hoped for and more. Service, efficiency, knowledge, location, and a restful room after a tiring day. Very easy to get to and from the airport, definitely recommend and stay here again. Details below.
After the first night we decided that the room was way too small for two people so we upgraded to a larger room and were much happier. We stayed an entire week. The location is good...near the heart of shopping and very accessible by cab or train. Even though the outside streets were packed with people the inside of the hotel is quiet.
Our first cab driver had a hard time finding the hotel and we went around and around for a bit as it is tucked inside the mostly walking area.
We would stay again.
Arrived for a 5 night stay. Taxis seemed to know location of hotel readily. Greeted in the afternoon by pleasant security staff. Arrived in tiny room with non-functioning safe. Staff offered to upgrade to larger room, but later tried to take back the offer after they fixed the safe. We insisted on holding them to their offer, and so we were upgraded after a short argument. Throughout our 5 night stay there were used water bottles left underneath the bed from previous travelers. There were also some fruit flies that would hover around the bed (not sure where they came from). Room did not have window, and was very dark. Elevator was painfully slow, so we used the stairs to get around. Coin op laundry had very limited hours, and was always being used. We wasted a morning just waiting around to do laundry. Gym was a cheap all-in-one machine.
However, the location couldn't have been better. The night market was literally outside the door. Starbucks in the basement. McDonalds, KFC one block away. High end shopping 4 blocks away. The metro station was one block away. Exchange bank very close. I would come back just for the excellent location right in the heart of Myeongdong.

- Only one laundry machine with limited hours, frequently in use.

Front desk one female receptionist assist me to make a reservation of the rail bicycle which is difficult to me and housekeeping very good of the cleanliness and hygiene.
I stayed six night and felt very suitable to me.
You can't beat the location. The subway entrance is directly in front of the hotel. The airport bus is several yards away. You can see Namsan tower from the roof top terrace. Shopping is just around the corner, in walking distance.
This hotel opened up right on a street in Myeong-dong. There were a lot of things close by; you could walk to shops, food, and the subway. It's a little smaller than American hotels if you are getting a standard room but considering the size of buildings in Myeong-dong it was still nice. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and big. The staff were very nice and aside from a couple housekeepers spoke fluent English.
This exuberant shopping district on Seoul Subway Line 4 bursts with young people and tourists. Closed to cars, the pedestrian shopping area is filled with brand-name outlets and street vendors selling faux merchandise. The historic Myeongdong Theater is here with regular live performances. Visit in early April or September for parades, music, and fashion shows during the Myeongdong Festival.
