Convenient to Shopping and Restaurants

Pros: The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice and had some upgrades.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't very tasty.
Location: There are many stores close by. We had dinner at Brann's Sizzling Steaks-Grille, which was very good. It's about a 15 minute drive to Lake Michigan.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Everything in the room (air, TV, shower, lights, etc.) worked as they should.

I was surprised no fans in bathroom for steam of mirrors and circulation of air. Other than that it was a pleasant weekend

Close to shopping

The hotel itself was very nice and clean. The pool area was really nice. I especially like the breakfast (obvious included in the price.) However, my biggest complaint is that we didn't sleep very well. The surrounding people were up until all hours of the night (I.e. 2 a.m.) slamming doors. I think there should be a rule that people are in their rooms by a certain time. I won't be taking my child to another Hampton Inn if all the doors are this loud.

Everything was great except they had the pool down the entire Memorial Day weekend.. A pool is a must when I book a hotel for the kids.

Only a one night stay but well worth it

I was in the area only for an evening as I attended a graduation party. The staff was very pleasant when I arrived, took the time to answer questions for my family and I about the hotel and breakfast the next morning, and they even leave sticky notes to let you know the room is freshly cleaned and by whom. It may seem a little silly, but it lets you know that they are trying their best for customer satisfaction. The bathroom was actually quite large, and the beds more comfortable than you really anticipate from a hotel. The pool was a little disappointing, as it was a little small and there were tons of kids in it o.O along with a very strong smell of chlorine, but since this was just an overnight stay, it didn't bother me overmuch. Overall, I would stay at the Hampton again the next time I'm in the Grand Haven/Norton Shores area.
