This place is perfect if you want a quiet hidden place with a great beach at 2 minute walk from your room. Pool is really private and rooms are spacious. There is no room service or things like that since they are apart-hotels however if you tell the door man to contact owner they soon come to you. It was so good we stayed one more day to enjoy city a bit more. 7 minutes to downtown Puerto Plata and 12 min to Playa Dorada? which is the resort area.

WE LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE HOTEL, THE ONLY THING WE FEEL DISAPPOINTING WAS THE FACT THAT YOU LOOSE ONE FULL DAY OF YOUR VACATION, BASICALLY FORCE TO ATTEND A PRESENTATION TO BUY A MEMBERSHIP.TO COST A FORTUNE. I WAS SO NERVES BECAUSE WE DID NOT KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF WE SAY NO TO THE OFFER THEY GIVING US.
The hotel is utterly boring but very relaxing. I felt like a king the moment I was checked in. I had the European plan that offers a free breakfast. The breakfast was the best i had in years. I never eat pancakes at home but I ate their's. They have this French toast sandwich with ham and cheese that was awesome. I only ate two meals a day there. The dinner meals was very good and reasonable. I would like to know the spices on the spaghetti. The room had a high ceiling that made it feel roomier. There was plenty of hot water. The pool and the beach seemed private no vender's to harass you. If you book a trip stay away from the plaza, especially the city tour, all they take you to is shops that they way over charge you. They also get insulted when you don't what to buy there junk. Book tours through the hotel they might be a little more but they have to provide the service or they won't be used again. The entertainment is a short walking distance from the hotel. The casino opens after 5 but doesn't get going until after 10. The rooms are 4 room cottages which i liked and are very quiet. Be careful when you walk out of the resort the locals will try and scam you. The carriage rider wanted to take me to the plaza which was a 10 min walk.
First I would like to thank all of the reviewers which lead me to this hotel for without your input this vacation experince could have turned out quite differently. My brother and I took Jet Blue from JFK to POP for a guys 6 day getaway which we sometimes do stateside but this was our first by ourselves out of the country. Starting form the moment we landed we were greeted with smiles, eveyone was so kind and helpful. We hired a taxi so that we could register before the travelers taking bus transportation to the hotel (which was very affordable & difficult to pass on) which paid off because there wasn't any line at check-in. The bellman carried the luggage to the second floor (there aren't any elevators at these 3 story buildings) where we entered our spacious newly renovated mini suite. The room was very clean with a direct view of the tennis court and partial view of the main dinning room & the beach. Room 1209 is not next to another stateroom and is recessed from foot traffic so noise is not a factor, my brother is a loud extrovert so I'm thinking of others as well as myself when he was out doing his thing and I was left to my solitude. We hired a taxi and english speaking guide for tours and shopping, We could have done much better on the price (everything is negotionable) but money wasn't a concern so we just went with it. The vendors on the beach can persistant but a firm no thankyou with no other eye contact aterwards sends them along their way, I like the interaction.
