“An Excellent Resort”

The resort has three hotels. We stayed at the Al Bandor. It was everything we expected. Excellent rooms, service and the location is stunning. The New Years Eve banquet started with drinks reception on the lawns followed by an really good banquet and finished off with a Beatles tribute band next to the beach and fireworks at midnight. Some of our luggage was left at Heatrow and it an example of the hotel's service was not just that when we mentioned this on arrival at reception (at gone midnight), not only did the hotel say they would sort it out, but we had only been in our room for a few minutes when a member of staff arrived with complementary polo shirts, nightwear, toothpaste etc - something that really shows thought.

“Wonderful!”

My husband and i picked this resort for our 10th wedding anniversary. Our entire stay was very relaxing. the staff were extremly friendly and they could not be more helpful. They gave us a bottle of champagne, a cake and flowers on our anniversary which was a special touch. Could not recommend this hotel highly enough.

“Fantastic resort”

The Shangri-La in Muscat is a fantastic resort where service comes first. Our room was in the 'cheapest' of the three hotels that make up the resort and our initial reaction was 'hmm, is this it' but the size of the bathroom quickly made up for it. The service in the hotel was impeccable - for instance, cold towels and fruit was brought to us while lounging in the sun; it is these little touches that set the hotel apart from its peers. The various restaurants offer good quality food though the seafood restaurant is a bit overpriced.

“thought I had died and gone to heaven”

Reluctant to share this info in case it attracts too many people. Al Husyn is the part of the resort reserved for only 18 yrs & older. Very sophsticated, comforting and elegant. Makes you think that whoever planned it already thought of everything you could want in a hotel. Very expensive, but in this part of the world - with 7star hotels- this one still stands up quite well against the competition.

“Fantastic Service”

Great honeymoon - all staff were very attentive and they made our stay extremely pleasant. As it was our honeymoon they provided little extras which were very unexpected but fantastic - flowers, wine, cake and a fruit plate! Overall it was a great hotel and a very relaxing stay.

“Shangri-La Lives Up to its Reputation”

A really nice place with very friendly and helpful staff. There are a few restaurants and shops in the resort but the choice is limited as you will be some distance from city. The scuba dive school/shop is conveniently located nearby. If you want to get aound, it is essential to have a car when staying at this resort alththough there is a limited shuttle service into town.

“Absolute Luxury & fabulous service”

I have stayed in many nice hotels around the world but there was really nothing I could fault with this one. From the moment we arrived to check in until the moment we left we were made to feel valued & special. The hotel itself is set in beautiful gardens, the sunbeds around the pool are luxurious & personally made up for you each morning. The Lazy river that links the 2 hotels together is a great way to while away an hour. Rooms not overly large but well laid out & great comfy beds. Onl downside is that this is not a cheap hotel to eat & drink in & nothing else around for miles. But if you go with that in mind it is worth every penny frankly

“Dive in the Arabian Ocean, and staying in luxury”

A Far Eastern hotel set in the Middle East. It was fantasitc having quality service in such a lovely setting. Each eating outlet is extremely well thought-out, fashionable and the quality of food and service is extremely. Pleased to see Vegetarians are catered for, for a change. A great holiday, memory, and looking forward to our next experience at the Shangri-La Muscat, which allowed us to enjoy diving in style.

Lovely stay at a beautiful and peaceful location. great staff throughout the hotel - room just right - good range of restaurants Best breakfast restaurant we have ever experienced. Great Pool, Well looked after at the safe and litter free beach.. Highest standards everywhere, complented by helpful , friendly staff.
