This a small and very personable hotel and not at all expensive. It is very close to the water and had lovely views. It was also close to shops, one of them being Muscat's Handcraft Centre which was great value. But the best thing about the hotel besides it being clean and comfortable was the friendliness of the staff. They were lovely especially the helpfulness of the manager.
A very picturesque part of Oman with mountain ans sea meeting. The resort adds an inspiring human artistic touch to the horizon. The aesthetics certainly add to the experience.
Staff friendly and helpful and not over-the-top, as in some resorts.
Food served by room service and the hotel restaurant is of excellent quality.
Only the quality of their espresso coffee and WiFi facilities can be improved - everything else was perfect.

A great 3 (1/2)-star hotel that looks like it was part of one of the major global hotel brands, probably Holiday Inn. Fortunately, the tacky mid-70's (Holiday Inn) look has mostly, along with all logos and branding, been stripped away. What remains is a somewhat older looking but very clean, solid, very nice hotel with all the standard ammenities.
For us, the rooms were perfect, very comfortable and clean. Only complaint: you can't open the windows in the rooms (defintiely American built) which is a real drag in winter in Muscat. The air was very clean, the hotel is only 2 miles (2+ km) from the coast but all windows are sealed shut. Rediculous. In summer there is extremely high humidtiy on the Arabian Gulf coast, but that's easily taken care of with the hotel's AC and smart ventilation. Great breakfast, very good gym with sauna, great staff, very decent pool. Would go back in a minute.
Absolutely loved this hotel! From the moment we arrived we were treated like 5* guests. Picked up at the airport as part of our room package and taken straight to our room as soon as we got to the hotel by our personal butler. We were so impressed and appreciated not even having to check in at reception as it was 7am and we just wanted to sleep. The early check in was another brilliant perk of the Premier room and so was the free bottled water and laundry service! The staff at the hotel were excellent and made our stay a wonderful experience. They treated us like we were special guests and not just another hotel customer as other hotels can make you feel.
Breakfast each day was nice. There was lots of choice and something different each day. Dinner was lovely and although there wasn't much choice, I was able to try some dishes I hadn't eaten before. My friends and I were impressed with the presentation of the deserts as it was like something you would expect in a high class restaurant.
We went on the dolphin excursion with the hotel and although we were disappointed not to see any dolphins, the lunch at the hotels restaurant at the beach was such a lovely experience it made up for the lack of dolphins. The yacht clubs beach was the best I have seen in a long time and better than Qurum beach which we went to visit later that week.
The hotel made the holiday an even better experience and I would definitely stay again! Thank you to all the staff!
