“Good value”

Overall good value for money. Quality of service from the hotel staff excellent, particularly reception and customer services. The hotel has a superb location. Great views of the beach and superb sunsets from the room. Well worth paying the premium for a sea view room with balcony. Only (minor) criticisms are: The small size of the bathrooms, The cost of meals which are expensive in comparison with other resteraunts of similar standard that we visited in Muscat, and, The cost of hotel transfers to/from the airport, taxis are just as good and much cheaper.

“An excellent choice”

On arrival at Muscat airport the whole experience was excellent: great weather (in February'11), excellent sea views, relaxing and private access to beach plus good pool area. Hotel staff very helpful and main restaurant food / staff were excellent. A truly enjoyable short break albeit slightly expensive, UKP being quite weak!

“Best Italian (Tuscan) restaurant outside Italy!”

Best to stay for a week rather than a fortnight, or we would be overweight on our return - and I don't mean the baggage! That Italian chef has achieved what few have managed - an authentic Italian menu of the type you generally only find in Italy and never in a hotel restaurant. As well as that, we generally enjoyed our stay and found staff pleasant and helpful; prices as expected in that grade of hotel. Good location for relaxing by the beach and enjoying the view, taking short trips to local sights, souk, etc, and longer trips outside of Muscat; also easily accessible from the airport. We crammed it all in to a long weekend, but will go back for more.

“very welcoming and very good value for families”

The hotel is a bit older than expected but the location and views are beautiful. The family room was big and very comfortable, they even put 2 extra beds for the boys at no extra cost. It is a very warm and welcoming hotel, especially if you have kids.

“Slightly aging splendour”

Decent enough hotel which is just beginning to look a little old at the edges - the plumbing is the first thing to look a little dated, I find, and this did. Apart from a pushy reception clerk, the staff were brilliant and the site is superb.

“MUSCAT”

Excellent location to 'chill out'. Very good and helpful staff offering superb service. The hotel itself is suffering from 'faded elegance' and will require a makeover in the future but this did not detract from a most enjoyable experience.

“Close to Best Strabucks in the World”

Great Hotel...good staff and lovely location. The hotels is also close to a Starbucks on the beach...a lovely walk to it and great views of the sea..
