This is a small but well-equipped hotel. Recent renovations added new amenities, bigger TVs and air conditioning to most rooms. Its best selling point is that it is a stone's throw away from the opera house, which means that opera goers can practically return to their rooms for the house's 30-minute intermission.

Stayed for 5 nights, the staff were incredibly welcoming and gave me and my friends some great ideas about good places to visit. The room was a little dated but was very clean and very comfortable. There was free wifi which was a really good speed. In terms of location I would consider the hotel to be in an ideal location, it's about a 10 minute walk to Marienplatz and the main high street. It also has some great places for drinking eating near by. The hotel is also right next to sendlinger tor u-bahn. The u-bahn can take you to all over Munich.

Although we only ended up staying one night at this hotel, we enjoyed the experience. The lobby is very attractive, the front desk staff was friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English (along with German, of course, and probably several other languages).
The room was great -- long and relatively narrow, but much larger than many urban hotels in Europe. There was plenty of room for two people, and although the hotel said that the room wasn't suitable for three people there was more than enough room for a rollaway bed.
The breakfast buffet was very complete and well laid out. My only disappointment was that there were no tables available on the terrace as I would have enjoyed eating there.

The room was a bit bigger than most European rooms. Bathroom was modern and had a big tub. Rooms have private balconies, which we enjoyed every day. Most of the staff was helpful and friendly. It's about a 25-30 minute walk from Munich's city center, but an easy walk. And 10-15 minutes walk to the train station. Great breakfast! No complaints.
