“Nice Place to Stay”

This is a nice place to stay for the price and location. There weren't very many shops or restaurants close to the hotel but the Haupt Bahnhof (train station) was only a short walk away and the Marien Platz was only a short walk further from the train station. The hotel staff was very friendly and assisted me with directions to a variety of locales as well as information about the train schedules. I will be staying there again next weekend as I pass back through Munich!

Area recommendations

I would recommend shopping at the Christmas Market on the Marien Platz.

“very pleased with our stay, as good as any 5 star ,would use tryp anytime”

good clean hotel friendly staff,well located as good as any 4/5 star we have stayed before i would recomend tryp to any of our friends

anywhere close to central rail station likre tryp being close to transport is a must

the hotel tryp is so close to the christmas market which is why we made this trip, so central to main train station

“ok - decent value”

Ok and decent value but at the lower end of 4 star. V convenient for main station but a bit out if you want to be in centre near Marienplatz. Rooms good and better than area and public areas. Bit of traffic noise if facing road.

Area recommendations

Schwabing. Good eating places, Englischer Garten, good shopping, especially speciality and antique shops, nice relaxed atmosphere with many students.

“Comfortable and business like.”

This was perhaps more a business orientated hotel rather than one for a romantic weekend break. It was clean and comfortable, the room reasonably sized. The hotel staff were helpful in recommending places to go nearby. It's a little walk from the city centre and there are no nice cafes / restaurants very close. However, the location did mean that it was quiet and there was underground parking. I would stay here again if I returned to Munich.

“No Air Conditioning!!!”

We spent an uncomfotable night in this hotel, no air conditioning and the room faced the busy, noisy street when the windows were opened. Carpet was worn and discolored.

“Recommended!”

Location was great for exploring Munich, with easy access for walking, buses, trains, etc. Staff was excellent, all score well on caring for guests. Breakfast was excellent.

“Comfortable and Convenient”

Tryp Hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff go above and beyond for their guests and are very friendly. The hotel is located just 3 blocks from the main train station in Munich and is next to a metro stop which makes getting around Munich extremely easy. This was my second time staying in this hotel and I would stay there again.

Area recommendations

Try to find a hotel that is close to a metro stop. That makes getting around Munich really easy. Hotels Near Odeon Platz and Marien Platz will be near the old part of munich but the neighborhoods around the trainstation, while business oriented, feel very safe and comfortable.

“good overnight accommodation for a stay in munich”

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Delicious food in the restaurant . The hotel is a quiet location, but is centrl enough to be able to walk to all the city centre attactions.
