“'fab'”

We stayed for 4 nights and had paid for the upgrade to a Club Room. We were very pleased we did as the service and extras with the Club Lounge, swimming pool/fitness suite etc., were excellent and well worth the money. My husband thought he had died and gone to heaven when he saw the range of included 'snacks' in the Club Lounge. Thank you for a great holiday and we would be very happy to return any time in the future.

Area recommendations

The city centre is highly recommended as there's lots to see, lots of places to eat and drink (good beer gardens!) and its very easy to get to on Munichs very good underground service. The Olympic tower has great views over the city and the Alps and easy to reach by underground. Getting a partner ticket for the underground is good value as up to 5 adults can travel on one ticket.

“Very satisfied”

Convenient location only 5 minute walk to the U-bahn in a nice neighborhood away from the hustle of the tourist area yet convenient to it all. Situated close to a small shopping square with many small shops and cafes where one can sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee, snack, etc. We stayed on the 21st floor...Balcony had a very scenic view of the entire city of Munich. On the top floor (22nd) is a pool, spa, sauna, and fitness area with panoramic views of the city. Room was very clean with all the ameneties....Only small complaint was that the mattress was a bit too soft :)

“Lovely stay at a convenient and friendly area”

2 mins walk from U4 north most station passing a quiet residential area with basic shops and nice restaurants and cafe which compensate over the hotel expensive breakfast. U4 line go straight to Odeonsplatz where most of the nicer restaurants, tea place located with Munich Residence and walking distance to various gallery and museum. Wasn't the luckiest after check in as something went wrong with the room lock/card key. Husband went back to reception twice and took them a while to comes to conclusion that we need to change room. I was exhausted by then and the hotel stuff has been very apologetic and gave us a free upgrade from superior to executive room. The rest of our 3 days stays were lovely. No complaint here. Although swimming pool is very small more like a recreation pool with basic gym.

“sheraton munich stay”

A good hotel looks nothing from the outside but warm and friendly outside, looks a good bit out of the town but one tram journey gets you to the heart of things quickly as does the nearby underground. Staff were helpful and this is the third time i have stayed here increasing my stay in length each time. Ice machines on all floors. the hotel is well soundproofed and the beds were really comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and well appointed. Housekeeping needed a reminder to hoover at times but once they were aware of your wishes kept on top of things. Porters were good but there was a pompous condescending concierge who really thought he was a little Napoleon. i watched on several occasions demeaning guests, needs looked into.

Area recommendations

Everywhere. Don't limit yourself, Munich is lovely no matter where you go. Visit Kafer a wonderful food and wine emporium, not to be missed the museums are superb. The shopping in the centre of town especially Maximillian Strasse is world class. The food is super, most places you go and you can't miss Rischart ( pronounced Rickart) for cakes and pastries. There are superb churches; Alte Peter and the Michael (Jesuit) and many more but the tiny Assam Kirche is not to be missed, no matter what religion if any you belong to. night life is excellent and travel within the city easy by tram bus and taxis. Munich connects to other places and you can get in and out of Austria and Switzerland in a day trip.

When to go

Usually any time of the year winter is excellent and summer used to be but all of the hotels in the summer are taken up by Arabs and Munich becomes Saudi Bavaria at this time. Autumn is also a good time to visit.

“lovely hotel”

Very nice and typical of Sheraton quality. Only problem was we went with friends and their room was quite a bit larger than ours so we felt ours was too small.

“The feel-good hotel”

Nice hotel, nice room, nice view, near to the subwaystation. The only think I didn't like that much, was that I could hear the TV next to my room. Very nice breakfast.

Area recommendations

The Marienplatz, you will find everything there. Sightsseing, shopping. It's very cenbtral from the rest of the city.

“Great hotel in Munich”

The hotel was very comfortable, lovely rooms with plenty of space and the facilities were also excellent - the first hotel I have ever stayed in equipped with an ironing board and iron in the room itself. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good - a quiet area but easy to get right into the centre of Munich.

“a vacation within a vacation”

We loved the hotel. The service was great. It isn't in all the business of the tourist areas, but the subway isn't far away. It was so nice and quiet. It was nice to go after the craziness of Paris. The pool was nice. The service was nice and we really enjoyed are stay.

“review of Sheraton ArrabellaPark hotel Munich”

The hotel was excellent. But it was further out than I would generally accept, the service was excellent and the transport very good, one tram journey to the city centre also underground within 2 minutes from the hotel. Taxi service excellent but expensive to town €17. Staff supportive, communicative and pleasantly humorous. Excellent concierge, large sized room, clean and comfortable, The bed was the only issue of any notice. It wasn't quite as comfortable as a Westin or Inter-Conti bed, but then the Inter-Conti in Munich's Hoch Strasse has become a no go area for me as the service and attention to detail, the management and leadership shocking in extremis. I definitely recommend the hotel, there are excellent shopping opportunities for basics and beyond in the viscinity of the hotel.

Area recommendations

Bogenhausen, The City Centre definitely, most places really in Munich are safe and have excellent shopping and excellent culture food and clothing.
