“Good place to stay when transiting through Munich...”

I have used this hotel several times and will continue. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very nice and there is a great Italian restaurant just a few minutes' walk away. There is free internet access in the hotel lobby and an economical plan for access in your room. Its very close to the airport yet quiet. This hotel would be absolutely perfect if they could: find a way to eliminate lingering aroma of smoke in some rooms and bar area and reduce prices in the hotel restaurant.

“great hotel”

The Sheraton did not disappoint us. It was clean, comfortable, staff helpful and friendly and a great breakfast.

“Not all it's cracked up to be”

Hotel was nice but I got food poisoning at the hotel restaurant the night before we were flying back to the states. I was not looking for anything from the hotel in terms of compensation when I told them about the issue. That said, they should have offered something, especially considering that I spent the entire night vomiting. The hotel also offers a shuttle to the airport, but do not be deceived - this service is not free. Inquire as to the specific amount and then factor that in to the room rate to get a better idea of how much the accommodations cost.

Thank You very much for your Review. We take all Comments very seriously, especially when it comes to Hygiene & Safety of our Guests. I can assure you that all Requirements required by Law are implemented, including: Food sampling, Goods inward inspection, Temperature control checks and many more. Our Hotel is tested on a regular basis and frequently by a Food monitoring company (Institute Fresenius). The cost for the Shuttle is € 8 per Room and One Way. This might be unfamiliar to foreign Hotel guests, but is due to high labour as well as high maintenance costs of the car pool common in Germany.

“Perfect place to stay”

A great visit! I was greeted at the front desk by name even though I haven't been there in two years...how can you ask for a more warm welcome than that? :) The upgraded lobby with free internet access was fabulous! The rooms are clean, quiet and spacious. A good value for the money. The hotek resataurants are very good but a bit expensive. if you wan something a little different and less spendy, there's a A wonderful Italian restaurant is just a five minutes walk from the hotel. The proximity to Munich airport is perfect...no noise in the hotel but you're an easy 10 minute ride away.

“Not Impressed”

Hotel lacked hot water and had a calcified shower head, so that only a trickle of cold water came out. Not a pleasant way to get ready for a flight at 3:45 a.m. Also, certain Sheraton standards are not present - bedding, toiletries etc. Room service was very prompt but food was mediocre at best. Highlight was the staff - VERY friendly. The room rate was very good, though I resent having to pay 8 Euro for a hotel shuttle - this should be complimentary. I think next time I will shell out a little more and stay at the Kempinski, or go the other route - the Holiday Inn, which is not far from the Sheraton.

“Good hotel”

the shuttle from the airport is not easy to find, is expenisve considering the short journey, and only comes every 30 minutes. The hotel is a good standard and reasonable value. Staff were good and the restaurant was good.

“Nice stay by the airport”

Very nice hotel close to MUC airport. Room was very comfortable. Restaurant on premise was good. The only issue I had was with transportation to the airport. I had a very early flight (6:45 AM) as did a lot of other people and the shuttle bus was late arriving and there were no taxis although I had reserved one the night before. It was a little stressful getting to the airport but fortunately the airport was not busy.

I had seen other people say that the fitness room was outdated, but all of the equipment was up to date and the facility was nice. There is also a pool on site.

“Great Hotel, but in the middle of nowhere”

I used this hotel because I had a brief stopover in Munich. It was a fabulous hotel and perfect for travelers just needing a one night in Munich before catching a flight. However, if you want to actually visit Munich, it is not a good place to stay.

“They charge you for everything”

For example, if you want to use Internet - you have to pay for it! Is is four stars hotel - why don't I pay for Internet all around the world (even in cheap one star hostels) - but here they charge you! They also charge 8 euro for getting to/from airport using their own buses!

Traveller's tip

Try to look up hotel in Munich instead - the only way to get to Munich is to get to airport (5 minutes, 8 euro) and then by train (group ticket for up to 5 persons is 18 euro per day).
