“No Frills Hotel”
Our room was clean but very basic - TV and minibar included but no carpets/mats or drawers. The major problem was that you had to choose between being very hot with the windows shut or suffer traffic noise with the windows open. We had the windows open and used ear plugs to sleep but were still quite hot (in November with radiator turned off!!) On the plus side - the staff were helpful, the location is good and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice
“Fine if You Are In Transit”
This hotel is very close to Munich central station. The area is not good and I would only reccommend the hotel if you are in transit because of its proximity to the station. Room clean and good bed, no noise.
“The noise cancels out all the good stuff”
There is nothing wrong with this hotel - the location is extremely convenient, the staff are courteous and professional, our room was large and clean. In that price category, I was not expecting stylish or interesting - and the hotel is neither, but I generally only need the hotel to be a comfortable place to sleep. All of these positive attributes were canceled out by the extreme noise level - we faced the central train station and a very busy street. Since the rooms do not have ventilation other than the window, closing it - on a warm night in May - resulted in very stuffy conditions, but opening it required ear plugs and even then the din of sirens and trains shuffling in and out got through.
“Great for a triple room”
Would recommend this hotel to people wanting to use Munich as a base and therefore need to stay near the central train station. For a triple room it was very impressive with a little lounge etc and was very affordabale. Only 10 min walk from Marienplatz, or 2 stops on the underground (but the walk is better).
“Rather 3 stars”
Stayed there for 2 nights over the weekend. Personal on reception was not really friendly, two persons I was talking to, were bored or tired or something, I've got what I wanted from them though. The hotel is graded 4 stars, I don't know how these ratings are made, I would give it 3. The room we stayed (Suite) was quite big, with separate living and sleeping areas, however this was the only bonus. All the furniture was very old, and only some chairs (no sofa) in the main room, there was no air conditioning, and no wifi in the room either (only in the lobby). The mattress on the bed was too hard to my opinion, I couldn't sleep on it very well. Parking costs 15 euro per day which is quite a lot, if you go over the weekend check some parking areas on the street nearby, they are quite expensive during the week, but saturday and sunday usually for free.
“Conveniently located, but beds are like sleeping on boards”
We upgraded to get a king bed and it was just two twins pushed together. We were so exhausted after an overnight flight from the US that we were able to sleep, but if we had to do more than one night it would have been torture. The bed was like sleeping on a board. The hotel is conveniently located, right near the main train station and underground. Easy to get to any part of the city from here.
“Very Disappointed !!!”
For a so called 4 star Hotel, could not believe how stark and basic the room was. No carpet, floor was warped. No furniture, no extras, Nothing !!! Male staff were very rude and unhelpful on check-in and check-out was the same. For the high cost we paid per night, so could not have been more disappointed. Definately would never recomend
“Worst Hotel EVER. Do not stay here.”
This should be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was boiling without air condition, the beds were camping matresses and everything was outdated and awful. This was the worst night sleep I had in a long time, and it is not even worthy of a 2 star hotel. The rooms do not look like the pictures and you should avoid this hotel at all expense.
“Never a 4 star hotel”
Never a 4 star hotel. Great location but very dated and poor rooms. Only one very small bed in the room with no alarm clock and no air con. The room got so hot at night that I needed to open the window and try to sleep with the main road traffic in my ear. There are much better hotels in Munich for the same price.
“Very convenient location”
The room itself was adequate, two twin beds, the radio/alarm clock did not work. The bathroom/shower was clean. They served a nice breakfast, very good selection. Overall, the staff was friendly and accommodating. What we liked most about the hotel was the location, the main train station and downtown attractions, i.e. the Marienplatz, Hofbrauhaus, Frauenkirche, etc. are within walking distance. And we felt safe there. Across the street was a supermarket were we bought food items. We would stay there again.
