“Not recommended”
It is a rip-off place with everything has to be charged. No hot water kettle, no free wi-fi even in the lobby. Given the price we paid, I won't recommend it.
“would stay again”
The Hotel is opposite the main train station ( there are 2 sides to exit the station ( don't do what we did and exit on the wrong side)..... if you can see the Le Meridien at the exit, then you have picked the correct side. The 2 blocks located around the Hotel some parts are a bit seedy, but we felt very safe. The Location was fine for the city centre, 10min walk to Stacchus (Karlsplatz) then it was another 10mins to Marienplatz. The staff at the Hotel were very friendly & helpful, Hotel interior stylish and clean. We would stay here again.
“Superb choice for your stay in Munich!”
I frequently travel for business & always appreciate whenever a hotel *goes the extra mile* to make my stay the most comfortable possible. Le Meridien Munich did this in every aspect ... From my check-in after a gruelling 12-hour flight from Shanghai, to all the details in the room, to a sumptuous buffet breakfast & to accommodateing all my requests for assistance. The neighbourhood is perfect as well - You can walk to the city centre's pedestrian zone from the hotel. There are also numerous restaurants in the area & I felt safe as a female walking around on my own. Thanks, Expedia & Le Meridien Munich for a great stay - I will definitelt be back!
“will never book there again”
We booked and payed there for 3 people and where told that we had to pay extra for the third person's fold up bed as we left. The place is full off Americans which drank 24 hrs, and we got woken up a few time during the night with the loud singing. Would not recommend during the Oktoberfest for the money you pay I expect better service.
“Great Hotel, location greatyet also "interesting!"”
Lovely hotel with great staff, big comfortable rooms and just next to the Main Station. There are things that you often flind around stations such as strip clubs but you are never approached on the street or forced to go in. Breakfast was slightly over price but good quality.
“Excellent Location! Great Service!”
With the Sofitel, Le Meridien is perferctly located near the train station and with the Gray Line Tour company for Expedia excursions. Some inexpensive restaurants nearby. Great outdoor seatings. Walking distance to Marienplatz and Viktuelmarkt, Hofbrauhaus, and Augustine Keller Biergartens.
“Le Meridien Munich - An Amazing Trip because of the staff”
We received impecable service from the hotel staff. Martin, the concerige was over the top service oriented; he basically became our vacation planner and provided us with excellent recommendations to see, do, and eat. I lost my purse in a taxi and he put out all the stops to try to locate the driver; he even got the driver's home number to call him! The entire hotel staff were briefed about my lost purse and even upon check-out, they apologized that it was never found. Unbelievable. Christian checked us out and was beaming with positive energy, comical, and so helpful with ensuring we'd get back to the airport on time. This was the BEST hotel experience we've had to date. The manager and trainers should feel very proud of how well they service their customers. We are DEFINITELY going back next year.
“Absolutely wonderful hotel and in a great location. We would stay there again with no hesitation.”
We had a fantastic time on our trip. The hotel was lovely and in a great locaton. The staff were very helpful and accomodating as well. Definitely something we look forward to doing again.
“NICE HOTEL”
This hotel was well located within walking distance to the shopping mall and the plaza and sights of central Munich. It is not in the best neighborhood, but we had no problems. We would return to this hotel again.
“recommend without reservation!”
