“Munich City Escape”
After sightseeing in Munich and its surrounding areas it was nice to go back to a hotel that was slightly out of the city centre. Quiet and peaceful and if you fancy a stroll after dinner in the light evenings, the English Gardens are only 5 mins away. Just a word of warning to new customers on EasyJet flights, I didn't realise that baggage costs are extra & you have to pay EasyJet for these after you have made your booking with Expedia, so the flight costs on Expedia with EasyJet flights are misleading.
“very sound hotel”
We enjoyed staying here. The balance of public private was just right. The staff were friendly and helpful. Any issues were dealt with quickly and appropriately. Very good taxi service so quick to destinations.
“great location”
Very friendly staff and great location. Definitely recommended
“Cant wait to go back, recommend trying the Spa treatments”
Very impressive hotel, only that the location was a little bit of a trek to the city centre through the English Gardens but there is suitable public transport close by. If you are travelling by car be aware the hotel car parking is 25€ per night but we managed to park very close to the hotel.
“Superb Hotel in Rural Setting”
Great Hotel. Friendly staff. Easy to access via tram or bus. Although on arrival it is an awkward journey to find after leaving the No. 17 Tram at Tivolistrasse. However, close to the English Gardens with a gurgling stream nearby, it is situate in wonderful surroundings. A modern efficient and comfortable hotel. A great breakfast with a huge variety of choice. I would certainly stay there again.
“Fantastic Hotel”
This hotel is in a good location overlooking the English Gardens, it is a nice walk into Munich's main square through the park or around 10 Euro's in a Taxi. The Hotel has a nice atmosphere and the staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. We did experience a problem with our room on the first night and the staff were very upset about our experience and to compensate us they up graded us to a executive room which includes use of the executive lounge. The on site facilities were very good, the gym was excellent it had a large range of up to date exercise equipment which was all in great condition. The pool is small but it was great for us as it was empty when we used it. We also used the steam room which was next to the pool. There was free parking available on the street outside the hotel which was very convenient. The whole hotel had a luxury feel about it and it was all in excellent condition. Our room was a good size, it was bright and airy and had a great view of the city. The bathroom was excellent with a big bath and a good shower. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with a great range of food to suit all tastes.
“Attractive location within 10 min drive of Munich centre”
Efficiently run hotel with mix of business and leisure guests. Room with balcony which overlooked the Tucher Park and a very fast-flowing tributary of the Issar River. Free on street parking and only ten minutes to central Munich - or the local bus stops outside the hotel. Everything you would expect from a top range hotel - large well-appointed room and extensive buffet breakfast. One suggestion - the kingsize bed needs two single duvets for two people - the double provided is too small and caused a tug-of-war!
“Not impressed at all”
For me, it's not a five star hotel. The man at the concierge desk was rude. there is a smoking room just for cigars and only by paying a full year rate membership. Not impressed by breakfast. There is a nice restaurant, 5 minutes walk after the bridge.
“Nice hotel...but out of the way”
To get downtown, it was a bus and a train combo. While the public transportation is very efficent and timely, and the hotel is located in the English Garden, we would rather have stayed in old town for convenience to sites and restaurants.
“Lovely Break”
We thoroughly enjoyed our few days in Munich. It is a very interesting city. The Hilton Munich Park is near the Englisch Garten which is about half and hour brisk walk from the city centre via the riverside. We liked our accomodation being away from the buzz of the city. The hotel was very peaceful, and comfortable and all the staff very friendly and helpful. For those who do not like to walk the tram service is very good and runs approx every 10mins from the main road just down from the hotel. You can buy tickets for the tram from the hotel and can go on and off it all day and you can also use it on the bus or train. We paid approx 9.80euro for two travelling together - great value. We found the price of the breakfast a bit high in the hotel although I am sure it would be very good - but as we were on a budget we opted to eat breakfast out. The downside is there are not many places near for eating so you really need to go into city or take a snack to eat in your room to keep you going.
