“Superb value and facilities”
Good location, only 100 metres walk to a metro station. The room had a kitchenette was very useful to prepare snacks, coffees etc. and there is a small grocery shop directly opposite the hotel. The kitchenette had doors so you could close it away when not in use. The room was comfortably furnished, with pleasant views overlooking rear gardens. Good bed, good bathroom. Pleasant, helpful staff. What more could I want? The church bells chiming in the morning (after 7am) might annoy some people, but to me they added to the atmosphere. Heating worked very well, important in November, and the window could be opened if you want fresh air too. Overall, a good experience.
“Good Price/Convenient Location”
Very clean and efficient hotel about 10-15 minute walk from historic center city and the main train station. The surrounding neighborhood was not the best but did not cause too much concern. The room did not seem to have AC and if you kept the window open, you heard loud bellowing from a courtyard below and the ringing of the beautiful (but loud) church bells. Minor complaint was that there was only one thin pillow. Overall a good price and location for someone that won't be spending a lot of time in the room and just needs a place to sleep...
“I would definitely stay here again.”
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. In addition to the bathroom (great shower) our room had a hot plate, minibar fridge and washing-up sink, so we could make snacks/small meals. The beds were very comfy. It was quiet and the staff were helpful. The hotel is very close to the area where the Oktoberfest is held and the main rail station (hauptbahnhof). We ate in a couple of very nice Turkish restaurants nearby.
“Munich August 2,011”
The lady receptionist was suberb, nothing was too much trouble. The male receptionist was surly and unfriendly. THe hotel is clean and reaonablely conveient for the city centre (15-20 minute walk).
“A nice 3 star hotel”

“Comfortable and affordable”
For those expecting a 5-star hotel with concierge service and rooms the size of meeting halls, this is probably not the place for you. But if you are looking for a clean, quiet, comfortable, and affordable (relative to other options) place to stay in Munich, then I highly recommend the GHotel. It is just a few blocks from the main train station, and is just a half a block from the nearest underground station. They offer a very nice breakfast buffet (for an additional fee) that actually had hot food items (trust me - this was a big deal to me compared to other places I have stayed in Germany). The room has a safe deposit box, and the shower is of a suitable size for humans (again, a big deal compared to other places I've stayed). I guess the only negative I can think of is that they charge a ridiculous amount for wireless internet service. But then, I had little use for this, since I spent most of my time exploring the city.
“GHotel Munich”
standard European double beds - nice clean rooms and bedrooms - incredible staff, excellent service.
“Close to subway, very convient location for October Fest”
Hotel rooms have a little kitchen inside, kettle, some folks/knifes. Very convient for a living. Surroundings was a little "Turkish" but it is not disturbing at all.
“Nice staff, regular hotel”
The hotel's staff is nice and willing to help with any need, the hotel looks a little bit old, location is good, a few blocks from the train station
“Just great”
Just loved the hotel. I chose it because it had a kitchenette and a fitness center - and both more than lived up to expectations. The neighborhood was terrific (even in winter) - but that's assuming that you want to experience a "real" part of Munich: Turkish food stands, arab restaurants, etc. Close enough to the altstadt to be an easy walk. I'll definitely stay there again. Also, all of the kitchen, bath, bedroom elements were totally top of the line.
