“Good location”
The Eden Hotel Wolff is generally a well presented, mid sized hotel in a convenient location. The room was a generous size with the benefit of a two seater sofa, desk and chair, as well as a good sized comfortable bed. The windows open fully for ventilation, but remember to turn off the well disguised radiators under the windows if you are too warm! The bathroom is well equiped with two sinks, toilet, bidet, nice deep, wide bath with shower attachment. The house keeping is generally very good and efficient. The staff especially front desk are friendly and helpful. There are a few negative points that are fact rather than opinion, there is only one lift which can be a pain if you are on a high floor, although it is a pleasant walk down the wide staircase. There are no security locks on the inside of the room doors, ie a security chain. For some reason or another the bathroom smelled very strongly of stale urine, which appeared to come from the toilet water itself rather than the floor. The air conditioning in our room made a strange vibrating noise every 10 minutes or so, even when swithced off, but this may only be a temporary problem. Overall we recommend the hotel, literally over the road from the central train station with a bus station along side, the train station is also the underground entrance and a subway leading to shops and other areas, very handy in bad weather. The airport bus can been seen from the reception area and provides a pleasant and relaxing ride.
“would stay there again”
Good location for the centre of Munich and the shopping and christmas markets. helpful staff, nice comfortable rooms would stay there again
“Very NIce HOtel in the Heart of Munich”
The Hotel has character andf history. The front desk people were very attentive and helpful and all spopke perfect English. The only negatives encountered were parking and noise from the Railroad station in front of the hotel. The RR station seems to become active around 4:ooam and thats when it woke me up every morning. Diesel buses arriving and leaving and idling , yelling passengers and cargo being moved into and out of the station made it impossible to sleep. However, I would go back as long as they give me a room on the oppositeside of the Hotel away from the front where it faces the RR station.
“Convenient location”
The hotel is directly across from the main railway staion, which was good as we caught the train from Berlin. Main shopping and restaurants were within easy walking distance, staff helpfull. The only problem, which wasnt a major concern as we were tired from sightseeing, if you have a room on the side facing the railway it can be a bit noisy from the cab drivers yelling at each other.
“I'd stay here again.”
I stayed here for Oktoberfest and was pleased with this hotel. It is across from the central train station which is very convenient. It is also within walking distance of the Marienplatz and Theresienwiesen. The staff was very helpful and my room was very clean and comfortable. I didn't use the WiFi at the hotel because there are plenty of Starbucks in Munich where it is free. It was noisy outside late at night but it was Oktoberfest so I expected lots of noise. I'd definitely stay here again.
“ok only if you need to be next to the train station”
The hotel was advertised as four stars and a half, but it should be three and a half at most. One of our rooms had a smell to it, and the flow of hot water in the shower was weak most of the time, and non-existent sometimes. Yes, one day I woke up at 8am, and there was no hot water in the shower! Fortunately, I did not have to go anywhere, so I just went back to sleep, and in an hour the water was back. The showerhead was old and cheap, and adjusting the water temperature was tricky. Also, when we moved in, the main elevator was out of service, and we had to use the staff elevators. The extreme proximity to the main train station is the only redeeming quality of the hotel, but this means it is not as far to the city center as you want to be if you are there to see Munich itself, rather than travel around. The breakfast was fine. There was a hair on my bathtub when I moved in.
“For a couple-of-days-tourist-trip in Munich just great.”
The location is great. Across the street you will find the Metro, train and bus station. You will find tickets at the hotel desk. This hotel is also great in the sommer as it has air condition (not usual for hotels in Germany). The window is double glassed, won't hear the street. Breakfast is nice. They don't have WiFi for free, it's actually pretty expensive. I can recommend Starbucks at the railway station or at the Stachuspassage. I will come back.
“Not a 4 Star in reality”
A reasonable hotel but truly not 4 star. OK for a couple of nights but hotel charged for everything and rather high rates. (i.e. Wifi charged for in this day and age) Don't take Breakfast at 15 Euros but go to Muller cafe for coffee and a morning snack.
“Convenient location, excellent value”
A very pleasent surprise. We booked this hotel due to convenient location directly across from the train station, not expecting much more than very basic accomodations. The quality was much higher than expected. Room was large and well furnished. Staff was extremely helpful. All around a first class experience!
“excellent location and comfortable room”
this was my second stay at the hotel. check-in and out was very speedy and friendly. my room was very comfortable (lovely bed) but there was a lot of night noise from the street below - take ear plugs! very nice flat screen TV. bathroom was adequate and spotlessly clean.they have an excellent restaurant although quite pricey. cannot comment on breakfast though as i had this "on the go". i would certainly stay there again next year.
