The staff were fanatic and so helpful. Happy to help me and gave me some advise on where to go. No real dining spots around where it is hit was a 20 min walk to a decent place To be.

The area around the hotel was blocked due to constructions which made the walk from and to the station very long. The staff were helpful and nice.

Dirty room with mould and dusty. Very noisy and could hear neighbouring rooms use the bathroom. This hotel is not worthy of its 4 star rating.

There was a faulty hairdryer that caused a small fire and a fuse to short. Manager completely unapologetic, was more interested in removing traces of burn than anything else. Faulty cable could have electrocuted me…staff uninterested. King size bed means king size bed, not 2 single beds crammed together. Staff both at reception and restaurant lacking any client services experience or training. More personality in a rock. Area appalling: strip joints, gold pawnbrokers and kebab shops abound. Avoid this hotel, one step up from a hostel. 2 star at best, not what I booked! Expedia needs to do a better job of vetting its hotels, I filtered in 4/5 starts…..this hotel is nowhere in that vicinity.

Excellent location for traveling. Spotless property with nicely appointed rooms and spacious bathroom. Very good breakfast buffet with many choices. Only drawback is the language barrier. All correspondence with the hotel is by email so you need a translation app. On site no problem, desk staff all speak English.

Drei Lowen was a great hotel for the two nights we stayed there for Oktoberfest. The room appeared to be recently renovated and was very spacious, especially the bathroom. The rooms may need a coat of fresh paint though. The location was great to get to the sights of Munich (about 10-15 minute walk) and to Oktoberfest (15-20 minute walk). There was significant roadwork occurng when we visited but were not disturbed due to the double glazed windows. The train station was also very conveniently located! Would definitely consider staying here again if in Munich.

The only positive thing about this hotel is that it’s very close to Munich central station. I booked a “standard double room” but upon check-in they tried giving us a single room and only when I managed to find my booking confirmation email did a double room magically appear for us. The room was filthy and run down. I understand that it’s an older boutique hotel but for the price I expected MUCH better quality. There are stains all over the walls and ceilings. Our shower was broken so we had to hold the sprayer the entire time like washing a dog. My towel had toothpaste stains on it and a giant clump of someone else’s hair. The sink did not drain properly. I could go on forever. I strongly recommend against staying here.

Well situated nice hotel
Pretty hotel and well situated next to the train station, only issue is that the room will be very bright as of sunrise, no real way to control incoming light overall, so sleep with a good eye mask.

The hotel is under renovation and especially the staff is great. The location near to the central ststion but the surrounding are a llitle bit skeptical. Many bargirls and the area i did not found safe. But the hotel is recommendated.

The most disappointing thing is that the hotel has OPEN WI-FI, which is totally unsafe. My safety internet company strongly advised me NOT TO USE this kind of internet connection. The area seems to be unsafe, but this is something common probably for the hotels next to big cities rail stations.

The hotel is ok, but old. The hallways needs a fresh coat of paint. I found moths in my room and on the towels. The staff dealt with the problem in a professional manner. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station and major attractions. I can recommend the hotel.

Great location two minute walk south of main train station, 10-15 minute walk to the main square. Excellent staff and recently renovated rooms make this my top pick for my next stay in Munich. Thank you for the great hospitality!

The Drei Lowen is within easy walking distance of the Central Train Station and the Marianplatz. It was extremely well-maintained and staff was very helpful.

wonderful place to stay
A family meet up to tour Christmas markets we came from different parts of the world. We had a wonderful time. The hotel was strategically located close to transit options and within walking distance of several markets and many restaurants. The property was well staffed, English was well spoken since our German was insufficient.

Great place to stay
I re-acquainted myself with the Drei Löwen following a few years absence. I found the place still very comfortable, well appointed and most conveniently close to all public transport in Munich. I found the lack of a restaurant somewhat inconvenient but breakfasts were awesome. I enjoyed my stay and look forward to another visit soon.

Travelling by train and arriving late evening the location of this hotel was excellent. Also very convenient for getting into the centre of town-10 minutes on foot or adjacent U-Bahn station. Smart room and very friendly staff. We loved it and would return again.

Worse experience in Munich -Bad hotel
The worse experience to extend i left after less than 12 hours of checking in (I checked in at 11pm at night) and found they gave me normal room while i booked business room. I asked for king bed (based on selection) they gave me twin separated beds. I found the toilet dirty ( check the photo) and not clean. The receptionist told me I cannot do anything now and speak to manager in the morning. They agreed to cancel the remaining of my booking but charged me for first night without even a sorry.
