“Hotel was fine but not the area”

I would not stay here in the future. The hotel was fine but the area was questionable. It is a highly populated Islamic area and just not to my taste. There are several Hostels in the area too with lots of drinking on the streets and across from a Casino. This would not have been as concerning but I was traveling with my young son

Area recommendations
Sadly, most of the nicer brand hotels are in this area. I have made several day trips to Munich but most of the time I do not lodge there (so I do not have any better recommendations in the city) If you are planning a trip to the Castles (Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau) maybe look for a hotel in Fuessen.

“will go back again......”

The hotel was very nice. Breakfast was excellent with many different choices. This hotel had the best breakfast!!!!!

“Would stay here again”

Very happy with my stay here. Our stay included the breakfast buffett and everything tasted great. The location is great, off of a major street but quiet in our room. The train station is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Karlplatz is about a 15 minute walk. Marienplatz is an easy walk from the hotel. My only complaint is that you have to pay for parking; unless you are able to find a parking spot on the street somewhere. The service was good, the front desk provided us with maps of the surrounding area and offered suggestions for things to do. Overall, I would stay here again and definitely recommend this hotel to a friend.

Family-friendly activities
If you're only in Munich for a few days, I recommend taking a city tour with Mike's Bike Tours. Friendly staff and a great way to orient yourself with the city.

“Was very expensive for location”

The hotel was adequate but not outstanding. It was very crowded, restaurant staff was ok but not friendly, neighborhood hotel was in was not very scenic and the stroll from the train station was downright offensive with all the Sex Shops and Porn theaters that we passed. The manager of the hotel Ricardo was very nice and helpful though.

“Great place”

I was really impressed by how updated and clean this hotel was. It was also a great price. The staff were very nice and our room was great! The hotel is easy walking distance to the main HBF so you can to anywhere from there.

“Good Location, Good Service, Good Room!”

I stayed for 3 nights. very convenient location, just 5 min from the central station. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is amazing, very confy king size bed, demand TV and internet access. I stayed at my room all day for one of the days in Munich. The only disappointing is shower. there is no curtain between shower and bathroom, so I had to be careful not to make the floor soaked. but that is just a trifle. i will definately stay here when I visit Munich again.

“Good hotel”

Nice hotel, convenient location to both the old town and Hbf (although some of the area is a little dirty/red light ish - but we always felt safe). Hotel room was a good size, quiet, clean and everything worked as expected. Breakfast was also good.

“Walking to everything was great.”

The hotel was small but nice. The resturants food was great. 5 Min walk to the train station. 20 min walk to the Hard Rock Cafe.

“Very convenient”

The hotel was better than expected. The bar and reception areas were modern and well maintained, the staff welcoming. The room size was good and it was nice to have a bath in the bathroom. The hotel was very close to the bahnhof so arriving and departing the city was quick. I recommend printing a map with the hotel booking for anyone who hasn't been to Munich before. There was a supermarket, pharmacy and coffee shop on the same block and it was about 10 minutes walk to the Marienplatz.

Dining
We had a great meal at the restaurant directly across the road from the hofbrau haus entrance - we couldn't get a seat there for love or money and it was really noisy so it was lucky we decided to try this place. Although slightly pricey it was absolutely worth it. They had an English menu and spoke quite good English.
