“Couldn't get to sleep”

It's right on a busy street, horns, sirens and all kinds of city noise. It was very warm and we needed the windows open because there was no air conditioning. We couldn't get to sleep because of the city noise.

“Germany Stay”

Overall the hotel met our needs. It did provide accomodations for 3 adults in one room which was hard to find in Munich. The location was great and the staff was very helpful. The location was on a very busy street therefore it was very noisey. During hot weather it would be uncomfortable as it has neither air conditioing or screens on the windows. This is very common in many European hotels.

“Tired looking hotel with bad service”

This is a very worn down hotel and definitely not worth the 4 Stars as claimed. If it weren't for the location, I would not stay here. The front desk was quite rude and not very knowledgeable about tours. He kept referring me to look at the brochures. I also asked for a room change after discovering a very foul odor in the room. Apparently, they booked me in a smoking room. They reluctantly allowed me to switch rooms after finding out I washed my hands in the room's bathroom which I found ridiculous.

Area recommendations
Main train station. Although the location is a little seedy, it is close to all the main attractions.
When to go
Probably in the springtime when the crowds are sparse.

“Just what I wanted”

For a short visit to Munich this was entirely satisfactory. Good and cheerful staff service and an excellent breakfast. Proximity to the main Station was a great advantage.

Area recommendations
City Centre (for shops, sightseeing and restaurants etc. The sightseeing buses are good value for a general introduction on a first visit. The Oktoberfest is a must if you don't mind crowds and terrifying fairground rides!

“GOOD HOTEL IF YOU DON'T MIND LACK OF A/C”

GOOD LOCATION AS PROMISED, EXCEPT BE READY TO PAY HIGH PRICE FOR BREAKFAST BUFFET. NOISY AREA, IF YOU HAVE TO SLEEP WITH WINDOWS OPEN DUE TO NO A/C.

“Not impressed - no way is this a 4 star hotel.”

No airconditioning in the room and the room got quite stuffy at night - there was a fan provided but quite it was quite ineffective. Also, the windows in the room were not double-glazed and since our room was facing the main street, there was a quite a lot of noise till late at night and from early in the mornings. Staff were very nice though and the hotel location was quite convenient - 5 mins walk from the Central Station and good access to lots of restaurants and City Centre.

“No air-conditioning ruins this hotel”

Much about this hotel was excellent: location, cleanliness and friendliness of staff. However, we were surprised to find that the rooms were not air-conditioned and the rooms were very hot. With a noisy street outside we had to keep the windows closed at night and the room was stifling. On this basis alone I cannot recommend the hotel unless you upgrade to their "comfort" rooms...!
