Only stayed one night, but had a great experience

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Not in the nicest part of town, but extremely convenient to the main train station. Awesome buffet breakfast included. Comfortable and very clean room with beautifully remodeled bathroom. Lots of little added conveniences that add a boutique hotel touch and show that the owners care about their guests. We had a quad room (which is rare in Germany) with a king bed and comfy pullout couch for the kids. Great value in an otherwise very expensive city.

Comfortable hotel close to the main train station

Posted 24-Jul-2014
Pros: Proximity to the station for day trips to Dachau and Nuremberg and the generous buffet style breakfast included in the room price with even fresh mint
Cons: Receptionist's knowledge of good local restaurants - eg. 2 suggested - one not open and the other, the waiter was surly and surly
Location: Train station, shopping (C&A, Karlstad) - further afield the Rathaus and old quarter of town. Too far from the English Garden.
Bright, modern hotel with comfortable rooms - room doors individually painted in "graffiti" style that my kids loved.

Top location for access to Munich railway station

Posted 22-Jul-2014
Pros: Close to transport. Left luggage room.
Location: Not the prettiest part of town - but super convenient train and tram - just what we wanted.
Picked this place because it was opposite the train station. Had a late (11pm) train out. Checked out in the morning and went sightseeing. The hotel happily looked after our bags until we collected them at 9pm. There's a tram stop right on the corner also - which was handy for us with small kids with tired legs. #18 takes you right through town and out the other side to the 'English Garden'. We were in a family room. Double bed plus fold out sofa. As is normal for these room, there's not much space when when all set up for sleeping, but we weren't in Munich to see the inside of the hotel room! There was plenty of space for what we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. I'd stay again.

Good & close to the train station.

Posted 07-Jul-2014
Pros: Reasonably priced and close to train station.
Cons: Walls need painting.
Location: Around the corner from Munich's central train station and about 15 minutes WALK from old-town Munich.
I had booked this hotel as part of my personal time after a business trip. It was very reasonably priced and a quick walk to the train station. Breakfast is included, but I missed it. The dinner menu is a bit limited, but the food and cocktails were fine. I was traveling alone and the size of MY room was sufficient for one traveler. I didn't see other rooms to comment on their size. My room could have used a paint job. It appears that coffee or such was spilled on the walls. As well, there were many black finger prints on the ceiling... perhaps from maintenance project. However, a decent hotel for the price. There is a Le Meredien around the corner, but in my experience, it is quite expensive. If you're looking for a good hotel to park yourself during your sightseeing, and you're not fussy about amenities, this is a good option.
