“Would stay here again...”

Great hotel, and I would recommend it to others. It's a little far from the airport, but if your on business in Haar, this is a great place to stay. Clean upgraded rooms and and extremely helpful and friendly staff.

“Good service, a bit remote”

We found the hotel very comfortable an attractive, and the staff quite helpful. Although the hotel was on a main thoroughfare, and our window faced front, it was reasonably quiet. All the desk staff spoke excellent English. We were in Munich during the semi-finals of the World Cup, and one evening as we returned to the hotel, quite a few guests were assembled to watch a match on the big-screen TV in the lobby, so we joined them. (Alas, Germany lost that evening.) My only complaint (and complaint is probably too strong a word) is that I didn't realize how far the hotel was from the city center when I booked. That said, getting into the city center was easy once we learned about the bus across the street, which went directly to an S-bahn station. (It is a bit of a hike directly to the nearest S-bahn station, but not a prohibitive distance.)

What to pack

Walking shoes, just like for any European city. And lots of money.

Must see

BMW World (BMW-Welt) is amazing! There are lobby displays of current BMWs, and exhibits haivng to do with new automotive technology, and the BMW Museum has an amazing collection of cars and motorcycles illustrating the history of BMW. Don't miss the animated sculpture--have patience and watch it for a while. It's amazing. (Look for it on YouTube.)

Dining

Munich has many beer garden restaurants, and I quite like the Bavarian food and beer. (I'm not a beer drinker at home in the US, but there's something about the beer itself or how it's served that makes it palatable in Germany.) Hofbräuhaus and Augstinerbräu are the most famous, yet we didn't find them difficult to get into, nor did we find the service slow or inattentive. But there are other beer gardens all over the city.

Family-friendly activities

One of my first activities in any city I visit is a bus tour of some sort. Gray Line tours did not disappoint. I recommend the extended loop, if just for Nymphenburg Palace. The hop on-hop off service is quite convenient. Budget a good part of one of your first days for this experience. I also recommend Gray Line's castle tour. Wear walking shoes and sunscreen.

“A nice base for traveling around Bavaria”

This was a nice hotel, with easy access to public transport. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were very friendly. They provided a crib for my baby and changed his linen when needed as well. Some good restaurants within walking distance. About a 30 minute trip via bus and S-Bahn to the Marienplatz. Overall, a good value. I'd stay there again.

Hotel comodo, pulito e vicino sia alla città che al quartiere fieristico. Un buon hotel sia per coppie che viaggio di lavoro. Valutazione buona sommando costi benefici.

Area recommendations

Sicuramente con maggiorne possibilità di spesa consiglio il centro città bello, vivace e pieno di ristoranti, negozi e birrerie. Il qurtiere dell'hotel è molto tranquillo ma per andare in centro si necessita della macchina circa 15 KM opure prima bus poi metro......poca scelta nei ristoranti e niente locali.

“HOTEL TO AVOID”

Hotel is the worst quality-price offer on the market. it's in the middle of nowwhere. I will take you 80 euros taxi to get there from the Airport. It has no food, no service. rooms look cheap. they will charge a high sum for wifi. the place and surroundings are dead. Hotel to avoid.

“Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist super”

Das Hotel ist super, das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt und das Personal ist von ausgesuchter Freundlichkeit. Der Blick auf das Alpenpanorama ist bei gutem Wetter gigantisch. Das Umfeld ist gepflegt und alle wichtigen Dinge in der Nähe (Einkaufsmöglickeiten, S-Bahnhof etc.).

“Hotel Acom - molto Economico, in tutti i sensi...”

Albergo molto economico, la colazione al minimo dell'accettabile. Dai commenti precedenti avevo notato la separazione della zona WC dal resto del bagno, non era specificato che il lavandino e la doccia erano praticamente a giorno all'interno della camera, l'unica separazione una piccola parete scorrevole su uno dei due lati aperti.
