Great hotel although probably not for families due to shower being out in the open room. Breakfast included was exceptional, and free internet included a sell. Overall great experience for a 7 night stay.
All of the staff were very friendly upon EVERY encounter. Every request was done way faster than we expected and we are from an area that demands quick service. This hotel is kid friendly. I feel they went above and beyond for our child. ( had a bed out for them with the same turn down service. toys in the room upon arrival, supplied a stool so our child could reach the sink to brush her teeth, etc.)
Everything about my stay was great...except the wifi. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the location (right next to the central train station) was very convenient, the room was clean, and the breakfast was outstanding.
The wifi was very frustrating. my trip was part business and part holiday and I needed a strong wifi signal. I was frequently dropped and would have trouble reconnecting. On this issue alone the staff wasn't very helpful.
It was such a big deal to me I can only give three stars. Other than though this is a great place to stay.
Staff was very friendly and spoke English very well. Location is excellent. Within walking distance to EVERYTHING! Streetcars, buses, trains and taxis are readily available. No need for a car. Train station, Hofbrauhaus, Lowenbrau, Marienplatz - Glockenspiel, ALL within walking distance. Lots of shopping and restaurants.
Hotel was beautiful and elegant.
The Anna was located in the perfect spot for visitors wanting to use public transportation or take any of the numerous tours offered. The rooms are smaller but we were never in it. We didn't find the noise level objectionable and slept comfortably. The staff was fantastic and helpful.
The only complaint I have is that after taking an overnight red-eye flight they put me in a room right next to the exercise /fitness room which was not well insulated at all. I was woken by people running on a treadmill, even using the exercise bike, in addition to the 'clanking' of the weight system that I could not get any sleep.

Just west of the old town, the area around the main station is crammed with hotels and pedestrian areas filled with shops. Further north is the city's museum district, which is home to the Alte and Neue Pinakothek, the Pinakothek der Moderne, the restored Glypothek, the Museum of Antiquities, and the Lenbachhaus, which exhibits the work of Bavarian painter Franz von Lenbach.
