beautiful hotel very close to airport

Posted 04-Dec-2014
Pros: The location, the beauty and the staff place The Leela at the top of its class.
Cons: Obviously, most things are designed by men, not women. If I was to change anything, I'd put a water source next to the toilet.
Location: It is very close to the airport, but there is not only nothing to do or places to go, they actively discourage you to leave the hotel! For your safety
This is truely a luxury hotel. There are many hotels in Mumbai who charge luxury prices and this is no different, but The Leela does deliver. The hotel is beautiful, the garden with pool extremely well designed and kept, and looks like a tropical oasis. Noise is cleverly disguised with water features and the rooms, lounge and restaurants are extremely luxurious and clean. The staff, every single person you meet, is very attentive without being ever obtrusive or pushy. They will try and accommodate you in every way. If you have dietary concerns they will create several dishes that you can choose from. It costs a fortune, but they do anything to make you comfortable. They actually will know and address you with your correct name and pronounce it right. Something that never happens in America. I was almost moved to tears when they called me by my correct name. So far this has been the best hotel we have visited in Mumbai. Come to think of it, the best anywhere.

Good but not as good as Leela New Delhi

Posted 29-Nov-2014
Pros: The grounds, the staff, the food
Cons: I cannot quite put my finger on what it is, but somehow there is something missing in the foyer to produce an immediate impact.
Location: Unfortunately there is no park nearby to enjoy within walking distance. .
Lovely grounds of the hotel. Food is good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is also close to the airport both international and domestic. Being part of Leela hotels we were expecting the luxury feel of Leela New Delhi but were disappointed on this occasion but we understand that Leela Mumbai is older. Still our stay was fine.

Excellent location, near the airport

Posted 28-Oct-2014
Pros: Location, ambience and seclusion
Cons: Other than the bent bathplug the ZLZeela proved excellent
Location: Near the airport and therefore very useful for catching planes
After trailing around India for a month I had booked the Leela for it's location near the International Airport. The hotel exceeded expectations at most levels. We arrived just before dark, tired and grubby and were shown to our room which had two single beds. It only took a moment to be changed to a king bedded room. I was impressed by the promptness of this service. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was excellent (apart from a bent plug which made taking a bath out of the question). Due to our tiredness we chose to dine in and selected the Hotel's Chinese restaurant. The food was amazingly good and the staff here chose to go out of their way to locate a bottle of my favourite wine, which had not appeared on the wine list. These little things made such a difference to out stay. I was quite disappointed that we were only staying for the one night. Our breakfast the following morning was also excellent and gave us a little peace before we tackled the endless airport round and our long trip home. I have no hesitation in recommending the Leela to others who are in a similar situation. It's location, almost at the door of the International Airport, is why we decided to stay there but we would probably return without this need. I am also anxious now to try other hotels in the group to see if they all meet similar standards.

Gestolen uit onze Royal Suite INR. 500,-

Posted 18-Oct-2014

Business or holiday the Leela has it all in Mumbai

Posted 07-Oct-2014
Pros: Everything, This is the second time I have stayed at the Leele, Mumbai, I will be staying there every time for my future business trips. I just feel a
Cons: Get a new beer chiller in the 6 deg bar, the draught Kingfisher is great as long as the chiller is working.
Location: The location is like an oasis in the jungle, it is a short taxi to major malls, not too far from the beach and for business the facilities are great.
I was at the hotel for two stays over two weeks. Both times the hotel and staff made my stay amazing. The ^ deg bar staff and management made a lone traveller feel at home and so welcome. I never had to sit on my own for long, someone would attend to my need for a drink and always had time for a little chat, absolutely amazing! The room staff were equally efficient and thoughtful, their accommodating attitude was so refreshing and much appreciated.

Amazing experience

I was lost for words with the ambience of the surroundings. The staff were so attentive & genuinely caring. There are too many to name individually but Chanda the Beauty Therapist & Captain Sean come to mind. Both the BMW chauffeurs were very welcoming as they were my first point of contact. I will most certainly be making best endeavors to visit all the Leela Palace Hotels in India.

Just a Facade!

Posted 23-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
Being Leela, the hotel name itself sets expectations.. & its always unfortunate when expectations are not met. The staff on the outset looked courteous however, they lacked the warmth when it came to actual service. The stay was a birthday present to my parents. Our room was facing the roadside, which sadly has been encroached by the Metro dwellers and the station. We requested if we could be given another room with a different view. The executive from the reception who accompanied us to the room, said he will get back, but, he never showed up. Since, he heard me wishing my parents, he said he will send a cake and flowers. Of course, excitedly, i even offered money, to which he said, its complimentary, but that never was sent. All in all, entire occasion of birthday fell flat coz of lack of proper service from the staff. If they were incapable of doing the arrangements, they just needed to tell me. This place has lost its shine of its hey days & should not be recommended to anyone!!

Perfekt placering 5 min fra lufthavnen

Hotellet bærer lodt præg af ikke at være vedligeholdt og så lugtede det surt på værelset. Beliggenheden er i top. Maden ok. Fitness centeret er super og folkene er venlige.
