Disappointing. Unsatisfactory Service.

I had big hopes from The Lalit and they left no stones unturned to disappoint. One doesn't expect a renowned hotel like The Lalit to dishearten you this much. The hotel service was very bad - starting from the concierge to the duty manager, the service was truly unsatisfactory. I had to wait close to an hour for my bags; then the plugs in the hotel were not working, an hour waiting for the repai guy to come tell me to use another plug. Post which I had a 2hour wait to get the WiFi details and the duty manager being of no help at all. While the hotel is being renovated, the room and the common areas were kept clean. The breakfast was good with the chef personally going around asking guests of he could anything for them. While I had requested for a late check out and the hotel obliged, it took me an hour and three follow up calls to get a confirmation. Unfortunately I'm already booked for another two days starting today and I am already dreading it.

Just stayed the last night of a 7 day stay in Mumbai. Sorry it wasn't longer! Concierge was very attentive. Excellent hospitality throughout.

Cold not family friendly, 3 star at most!

Terrible. We had to request a cot 5 times when it arrived (1am) the baby was asleep on our bed. Every request had to be repeated, menus by poolside, wine list, teaspoons, milk, high chair! Any parent knows how patient a hungry 22 month old is. The management were quick to hand us business cards & promise that our 2nd day would improve. Staff had clearly been made aware of our complaint so we were stared at & asked repeatedly if 'everything was ok' to which our reply inevitably was 'no we're still waiting for x'. Being asked multiple times if everything was ok wasn't fixing the problem but adding to our uncomfortable feeling & annoyance. We were offered free wifi & a free couples session in the steam room which was little use to one of us as one as we had a baby to look after. We were given a smoking room which stunk of stale cigarettes, the manager said there was a clich in the system & that it was showing up as a non smoking room. In the atrium there was 6 story tall scaffolding, on which loud banging could be heard the second night, loud enough to wake the baby. As we had a baby we were not allowed a drink in the on site bar, (fair enough) but were told we could not have a drink in the lobby either, we were rudely escorted out to the 'cafe' which was just a restaurant, ordered wine & took to the lobby that had mosquitoes & was freezing cold due to overzealous use of air con. We stayed at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel previously, please spend the extra & go & stay there!

Great hotel if you can afford the services.

This is a very posh hotel, designed more for the very wealthy and/or business people with huge expense account ( and that was not us). The rooms aren't hugely expensive, but meals are terribly overpriced. Service was good, although we were advised to go to the ariport the next morning an hour before our flight, and that was so wrong. We had to push our way into a priority checkout line in order to make our flight.

right near International airport and quiet

Posted 21-Feb-2015
Pros: clear and comfortable and near airport
Cons: the construction in the lobby, but cant be helped.
Location: near airport. I don't do anything else when there, just use it before departure or after arrival.
Good place to stay, I have stayed here many times. I would stay here again when I want a little bit of a luxury experience.

Nice, comfortable hotel

Posted 19-Feb-2015
Pros: Spcious, clean and friendly staff.Well located to the airport.Buffet breakfast was good
Cons: Wifi services can be made effecient.
Location: Surrounding the hotel and just out side the walls of the hotel were unclean. Very well located from the International Airport.
Nice hotel near the airport.Good facilities but limited and slow wifi complimentort for an hour only. The delux room was specious and clean.Well appointed and well decorated. For a hotel of this category bussnees centre was poor.
