Horrible Rooms & Staff

Pros: Nothing. Its completely opposite from what is shown on the website.
Cons: Everything. Show your customers what you really have instead of some high class hotel that is a total down grade when someone shows up to your hotel.
Location: Juhu Beach. Shopping. Food.
Checked in around 8 pm and asked for an extra bed and I went out with family returning around 12 am and still no extra bed. On top of that the bed in the room had stains all over it and the bathroom was leaking from the toilet, sink, and shower. When we called to complain about the bed and water they asked us to wait another 30 mins before they could do anything. In the morning the staff was completely clueless to what had happen and there was no communication within the staff itself. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

Cons: Attitude of bar staff
Location: GO to Sunnsand hotel next door for everything!
Went to have a drink at the bar and although we were 10 minutes ahead of the happy hour closing, the barman refused to to accept our order at happy hour prices . The next day we went half an hour ahead of the happy hour closing and waited and waited to be served! There were two people inside the bar but ignored us. The bar is so dark so maybe they could not see us! We went next door to Sunnsand bar both the times where the cheerful and very friendly bar staff were simply superb! So if you are staying here, dont bother going to the bar

Over Priced Mediocrity.

Service was poor, everything took longer than necessary. Being of indian heritage myself I know about "Indian timing" and how it's always a little later than expected. However when you are paying £90 a night for what can only be described as nothing more than a 3 star hotel you'd think they'd excel in other areas such as customer service due to the shoddy state and poor workman ship of the hotel itself. Sadly this isn't the case. Stay at the Sun and Sand next door, it's much nicer and has been recently refurbished. Or the Marriott if you can the prices are all very similar but the Novotel comes bottom of the 3.

Business class hotel, good hotel services

Pros: Great service staff, food is also good with wide selection
Cons: More variety of food, free transport to malls
Location: Only the beach is nearby, nothing else is close
Stayed at this hotel as I have always used NOVOTEL group of hotels Found the location ideal, and hotel staff are very good, service is great, rooms are ok Amenties within the hotel is good, but nothing else surrounding the hotel, except for the beach Very useful location for me to have my meetings within the hotel , but not for travelling outside

Good hotel with many minor glitches

The Novetel seemed like a good, attractive hotel with very good service. I liked the service because it was highly attentive but not obsequious as one sometimes finds in India. The hotel is on the beach, which is nice for the view and good for a morning walk, but I water is probably not safe for swimming due to pollution. (Also, note that a taxi to downtown Mumbai can take 1.5 hours due to horrendous traffic throughout Mumbai.) While I liked the hotel, I want to note that it has has many minor glitches. The electronic controls on the elliptical training machine in the gym did not work. Two different safes in different rooms on different visits had problems that required a call to the service desk. A light in a closet would not go out at night without fiddling on our part. It was not at all obvious how to make tea using the coffee machine in one room. Etc. Minor points that are worth noting, but not showstoppers. I would return if I had business in the same area.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 4 years, however the hotel is now in need of refurbishment. Rooms are in poor condition. The location however is great.

Lousy service. Check in time was 2 pm but room not ready till 4 pm. Got it after showing my irritation. I overheard the folks saying that this being a discounted rate, the level of service should be commensurate. The room i got was old, carpets worn. I have stayed there before in newer rooms. I would not go back there.
