The hotel was outstanding and the breakfast buffet was the shining star.the service was excellent and we were taken care of with no complaints. It is in an unusual location for a hotel of this level but the city has evolved and it makes it convenience not to the city center and also the suburbs.

This hotel was a pleasure to stay at and the staff were outstandingly good.
LOCATION - It takes about 10 to 15 minutes by taxi to get from the hotel to the Bombay Exhibition centre. The time to get to the airport varies greatly on the time of day - it took only 20 minutes when we left to catch our flight home at 7am, but 2.5 hours when we arrived at 6pm. Similarly, choose your time to travel to see the key site - such as the Gateway to India - avoid rush hour if you can.
HOTEL - excellent hotel with good size rooms - particularly liked the bath. The design though is a bit strange - particularly f you are sharing the room (as I ws with my wife). All the doors to the shower and bathroom are glass. The area can be shut-off from the main bedroom by sliding doors. But the luggage, wardrobe and safe are all in the the area. So if your partner is going to toilet, you can't really access your luggage clothes or safe without invading their privacy.
STAFF - the hotel staff are outstanding. They are polite, extremely helpful, warm and welcoming. While we were staying a the hotel we learned of a death to a close loved one in the family. The staff went out of their way to be helpful to my my wis who was very upset.
FACILITIES - eat at all 3 restaurants. Indian restaurant is excellent. Buffet restaurant had good selection. Italian restaurant ok. Swimming pol clean and good size.
I recommend this hotel to anyone doing business at the Bombay exhibition centre.

Everything was picture perfect, except for quality and quantity of furniture pool side. One there were not enough chairs and second, at least 2 out of 5 chairs we got were defective.Since we wanted to sit there only, we played musical chair to find out which two of us weigh less and then went on about it :). Small feedback, but may help you folks keeping the standards at the highest levels as you have in other areas.

This is truely a luxury hotel. There are many hotels in Mumbai who charge luxury prices and this is no different, but The Leela does deliver. The hotel is beautiful, the garden with pool extremely well designed and kept, and looks like a tropical oasis. Noise is cleverly disguised with water features and the rooms, lounge and restaurants are extremely luxurious and clean. The staff, every single person you meet, is very attentive without being ever obtrusive or pushy. They will try and accommodate you in every way. If you have dietary concerns they will create several dishes that you can choose from. It costs a fortune, but they do anything to make you comfortable.
They actually will know and address you with your correct name and pronounce it right. Something that never happens in America. I was almost moved to tears when they called me by my correct name.
So far this has been the best hotel we have visited in Mumbai. Come to think of it, the best anywhere.
The hotel is right next to the walkway that goes along the sea, which is a very fun and lively place to hang out at night. The room was great with a very comfortable bed. We definitely made use of the pool in the hot afternoons too.
This hotel was excellent, much better than I expected. The room was very comfortable, there was a safe with a code you could change yourself, the lighting was pleasant, the bathroom was fully functional, and the staff were incredibly helpful and kind. One staff member even helped me find a sweet shop and hail a cab when I had to visit a relative at the last minute and had nothing to take with me. I was very pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay there again.
