Short family break

Posted 15-Apr-2015
Pros: Exceptionally freindly staff, from the moment we checked in to the moment we left, all of the staff made our stay most pleasurable.
Cons: Not a lot wrong with this hotel, one small improvement is the masala tea. This was not quite upto what we expected.
Location: Sightseeing, kids activities nearby, nice places to eat, nice malls nearby, however any travel must be done by local cabs.
The concierge staff in particular were most helpful and advised how and where we should travel to. Prompt help in all matters and very good local knowledge.

Excellent service

Posted 08-Apr-2015
Pros: The rooms were pleasant and public areas very nice, particularly the veranda where breakfast is served. Awesome rooftop bar.
Cons: Prices for alcohol, particularly wine were very high even for a hotel like this.
Location: There is a mall around the corner with top end shops and restaurants. Near Haji Ali mosque and the Mahalaxmi racecourse and temple.
Lovely hotel well placed in Mumbai. Our luggage was delayed at Heathrow by 24hours and the staff were extremely helpful in tracking and then delivering our bags. We were also provided with overnight kit.

Un hotel para perderte

Posted 06-Apr-2015

Very close to perfection

Posted 01-Apr-2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Not much really.
Location: LalBaug market and Dhoby Ghat are very interesting.
Loved everything. Staff is exceptional courteous. You can see their dedication in little things like a pretty hotel bookmark next to my book on the bedside table or during clean-up they even rolled up our power cables for Laptop and phone and applied little Velcro straps. Breakfast is heaven. Pool beautiful. The only problem could be the bed which is a tiny bit on the soft side. For me it was ok, but my husband would have loved to have a harder mattress.

Outstanding Hotel and Service

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Amazing hotel but so expensive for food, drinks, etc. No different to Taj, Palladium, etc though! I just don't know how they get away with $35 cocktails, $10 soft drinks, $150/hour massage!

Nicest Hotel in Mumbai

Posted 03-Mar-2015
Pros: Wonderful staff, location, WiFi, Breakfast selection, Comfort of the room. Everything really!
Cons: Stronger WiFi signal could have been of help, but nothing to complain about.
Location: Right across from Nehru Center. A short walk to many restaurant/night life in Lower Parel/Worli. Great location.
Absolutely delighted by everything at this hotel. The staff is wonderful, helpful, speaks great English, knows the area, suggested great restaurant etc. The room was WONDEFUL, with a clean roman bathtub and very comfortable bed including all accessories and lots of water complimentary. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. A real pearl. If you can afford staying at this hotel, you simply must!

Two nights in Mumbai on the way to Singapore

Posted 17-Feb-2015
Pros: The concierge and breakfast buffet staff were very helpful.
Cons: Communications to guests about restaurants especially if its a busy weekend and you need to book a table in the restaurants.
Location: Its a 30 min drive to the Gateway of India and main tourist spots. The large Phoenix Mall is less than 1km away.
The hotel is in the centre of Mumbai so it’s a 30 min drive to the main tourist areas but if you have a good driver this location is very central. The hotel prices seem high (RACK rate, food and car services) but the level of service received made up for this in part. The hotel rises out of a reclaimed area of Mumbai that was previously a slum district and there are multiple new construction sites both side and a walled park land block in front of the site. I was shown a room on L7 and I questioned how this was a "sea view" so they moved me to L18. First night’s dinner was in the pan Asian restaurant which was great but a little pricey after living in Pune. The bed was comfortable but too soft for my liking but this is common in Indian 5 star hotels. The next morning I awoke to find the sea view is distant but you do get sweeping views across the peninsula and surrounds. The breakfast buffet was very good and I tried most of the made to order section before heading off to see the Gateway of India and Elephanta Caves. Dinner on the second night was in the same pan Asian restaurant seated at the bar. On the morning of check out the concierge arranged for access to the rooftop bar so that I could take photos. The breakfast buffet host gave me turmeric and salt for my sore throat gargle (grandma’s recipe). Both experiences made my stay. Overall it was a very nice stay in a busy city.
