We had a fabulous time at this hotel. The staff were most attentive and helpful, the food excellent and the hotel grounds beautiful and peaceful. The available excursions with the lions are not to be missed!
Being the start of the season, the hotel was peaceful and comfortable - just what we needed for a relaxing week.
We would highly recommend this hotel to our friends.
"Disappointing visit to hotel with good reputation!"
Poor value indeed. Management very disinterested. Did not try to engage with us at all, so we did not even know what was available except golf and game drive.
Played golf on Legend, charged full fees despite just being cored. Golf Pro did not even speak with us despite very few people around. Getting information out of game driver was like pulling teeth (did see lions, giraffe and elephants though).
And don't get us started on the food. We were driven to 3 different locations and it ranged from dreadful to OK. When asked by waiters how things are, it is always easier to say good when it is the opposite. It is not their fault.
No bar or coffee shop or gym......staff did not know how to fill mini bar. Golf club out of stock of wine, food listed on menu, even ball markers.
Had an unbelievable experience at this boutique hotel in Hazyview. Staff were amazing, setting was stunning and the food at the attached Kuka restaurant was outstanding. Really couldnt fault it in any aspect. The town itself is a sleepy town but there is still plenty to do in the surrounding areas, with easy access to Gods Window, Bythe River Canyon & the wonderful Kruger park.
We stayed here twice - on our way to and from Kruger. It was a fine stay. I did not realize the hotel was so far from town. Once you get there it is not within walking distance to anything. We ate at the restaurant once. The food was ok but not good enough to eat there on our second stay. Overall the stay was unremarkable. If you need a place to sleep before heading into the park, this is fine.
