Overrun by bikes and the noise intolerable.

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: Not a lot room basically comfortable but only that
Cons: Most of everything, breakfast barely average
Location: Too many bikes to know
Don't stay during Sturgis too many bikes too little available. Hotel average, Custer overrun.

Descent basic room.

Pros: Good hotel for the price.
Hotel is centrally located in Custer. Room was clean. The smallest bathroom that I have seen!! It wasn't much larger than a closet! Front desk staff were pleasant. Continental breakfast was bare bones, but acceptable.

Excellent location & price. Staff was great

Crappy weather. Due to fog, couldn't see crazy horse or Mount Rushmore. However, lots more to attractions and sight seeing in surrounding towns Had a great vacation in Custer hill city and keystone . Must visit wineries

Thank you for taking the time to respond to our survey. We appreciate your comments and feedback. Sure wish I could have done something about the weather. As a local, I love the hills and its very disappointing when guests hit back weather and are unable to see Mt. Rushmore or the beautiful views that are available from some of our scenic drives. Glad you enjoyed the wineries. Again, thank you for staying with us at the Econolodge of Custer.

Pros: Nice rooms, comfortable bed, friendly helpful staff. Right in middle of town.
Cons: Nothing, I was happy.
Location: Close to Mt Rushmore & Crazy Horse monuments.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. Nice room. Staff directed me to sports bar for dinner, short walk, it was a great meal, thanks for recommendation. I would stay again.

Better than expected

Posted 04-Sep-2013
Pros: Clean and inviting atmosphere
Cons: Parking was a bit cramped but not much can be done about that.
Location: Good location, Custer state park right there, short highway drive to Mount Rushmore or you can take Needles Highway or the Pigtail road. Shops as well
Very pleased with our stay, great staff, quiet, room very clean and odor free, the free "hot" breakfast was good, the room is not large (one king) but it was fine for my wife and I. Bottom line, in this price range, this hotel delivered above what you would expect.

Clean and comfortable

Posted 22-Aug-2013
Very clean room. Comfortable bed, and especially soft pillows. The walls are a bit thin, but I didn't have any noise issues. The A/C can be noisy, but I prefer it that way as it helps me sleep. Better than a continental breakfast each morning, as they always had a hot menu item, like biscuits and gravy or omelets, in addition to the standard cereals and danishes. The staff was also pleasant and very helpful. I would stay here again.

Great!

Posted 20-Aug-2013
Nicely redone room, very friendly staff. We checked in late due to a storm and the gentleman at the counter was very pleasant! The hotel is very quiet and the breakfast was good. Hot sausages, a couple cereal options, mini donuts and muffins, juice, coffee, milk. Would definitely recommend to others and would look to stay again if we are ever in the area. Heads up on parking, it is tight but they make the best of the limited space that they have.
