Quiet and Peaceful Location

Posted 24-Mar-2015
Pros: The Location, The Property and the staff were great.
Cons: I only wish we had a DVR to record a few shows when we were out.
Location: See Seals and sea life in the reef at low tide. Dinner at Pasta Moon ( The Lasagna - My wife said), has ruined all other Lasagna that we will ever eat
The Property is quite nice. Well taken care of and it appears to not be that old. It's only a 10 room Inn, so not too crowded. The Rear Garden was beautiful to look out our window at. We were able to take a short hike down to the coral reefs each evening at low tide and enjoyed that fact that we did not even have to move our car. The Breakfast was a lighter breakfast but great pastries and homemade granola. The room we were in was the largest room and was great. This was for our 30th anniversary and was a great weekend with getting to restaurants was just 10-15 minutes away. This a great place to unwind.

Hello Jim, Congratulations on your 30th wedding anniversary; we feel honored that you chose to celebrate with us. You’ve discovered some of our favorite qualities; our garden is a loved escape and the reefs at low tide always feel magical! We’re thrilled to hear that the care we take of our inn impressed, and that you found our breakfast delicious. We hope to welcome you back again for another wonderful anniversary celebration or for a tranquil getaway!

disreputable owners

i remember when google allowed you to choose your favorite place (in order to ensure that you wouldn't superfluous rank everything 5 stars). i wish a service existed where i could rank my least favorite place since 1 star is too generous. the location is nice, but the hosts are focused on profit rather than reputable service. i recall that the place is under the 3rd set of owners so i'm wondering if the 5 stars reviews are historical or contrived. save yourself the trouble and stay away!

Cozy getaway

A beautiful inn in a beautiful location. You can walk to the beach and the Moss Beach Distillery (closed, alas, when I arrived at 8:00 pm). Breakfast is included, and was good but a little eccentric, consisting as it did of three all-starch courses: a raspberry pastry, followed by crepes, followed by a croissant. Still, overall, a good place to stay with friendly, helpful staff.

We stayed two nights with another couple and had a wonderful time. The Inn is amazing and the location is beautiful. The walks to the ocean will be remembered forever.

Warm, accomodating, totally recommended!

Seal Cove Inn went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I got exactly what we wanted on our short vacation. Breakfast was delicious, staff was friendly and helpful, and when there was a misunderstanding with our room, the staff worked to make sure we were 100% satisfied and comfortable. I fully recommend Seal Cove Inn - it's worth every last cent!

Amazing stay!

SF was booked due to conference so i found this spot by accident b/w Cupertino and SF. FANTASTIC find! My room was spacious and clean - bed comfortable, fireplace terrific, bathroom huge and filled with great lavender soaps and lotion. Coffee/latte maker 24/7 and the beach hike within steps from my sliding door. If only I could transplant this hotel to Colorado.

A Must-Visit Stop in Moss Beach

Posted 18-Aug-2014 on Hotels.com
Had an amazing experience overall. Felt much more like a nice home vs a typical hotel. The room was large, clean, and incredibly comfortable. California King bed with amazing soft sheets. In the middle of a beautiful forest just steps from the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean. Absolutely beautiful. 3 course breakfast in the morning was delicious. I proposed to my fiancé earlier in the day, so this was a perfect place to spend our first night being engaged. Would definitely recommend.
