“Solid”

- Room was very clean and daily service excellent. - Front desk and concierge and bell hop staff all very pleasant and helpful. - Located very near to metro and bus service and airport express train station but some visitors might prefer to be closer to tourist points of interest. - Ongoing construction in the vicinity of metro station makes for a less pleasant neighbourhood. - Breakfast buffet is pricey but offers reliable food quality and quantity.

Area recommendations

- Kremlin (museums), Bolshaya Nikitskaya Ul (old houses and mansions), Kitai Gorod (Polytechnical Museum and old buildings), and Kropotkinsky District (Pushkin Museum and lots of interesting architecture) are all worth seeing and exploring on foot.

Getting there

- air travel bookings that require Canadian travellers to enter the USA by small regional jet to connect to major airports in New Jersey or NYC may be cheaper but are the first flights to be cancelled or delayed when poor weather or air traffic problems cause back up of operations at those airports. Consider paying a bit more to fly via Montreal or Toronto.

Getting around

- excellent Metro system but the stations can be vast - finding the correct exit for your destination means asking for help unless you can read Cyrillic!

“Reasonable Moscow Accommodations”

Needs accurate directions, particularly because of local construction. Hotel allows access to nearby Marriot with swimming pool Hotel room accommodates family of 4, seemingly a rarity in Moscow Typically high priced, well maintained hotel on the rim of the inner core of Moscow. Easy connections via the subway. Room was excellent although bathtub would not drain

“Decent value for location and product”

Location is great if you want to look around a bit. As a Marriott premium card holder, was treated to upgrade to huge room, fruit basket and bottle of wine. Bed furnishings were excellent. lobby was a bit small and the bar was rather small and feeling crowded but very satisfied. Could have a bigger business center.
