Wonders of Hotel Salut
The hotel Salut is a wonderful gem in the South of Moscow. The Breakfast Included with the Room is Absolutely Amazing and they run a free Shuttle every hour to nearby Torporevo Metro Station (Red Line )

A very good budget stay. A clean an well-maintained room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. There is a shuttle bus to metro.

A salute to Salute
Nice helpful staff. The hotel has several restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. The room was modern with a great view.

I stay there 2. time. Location is good for me that's why I choose it. This time stayed 11th floor. First night was ok. Room is ok, they have changed the carpets in corridors its smells new carpet. Second nights morning I wanted to sleep until 10.00 as I had a late night flight. 7 o'clock started high volume conversations and walkie talkie high volume. Waited for a while but did not stop. When I have open the door there were around 20 people they said they shoot a film. I went to reception they said they do not know nothing about it, did not anything about it neither. So I did not sleep and needed to go another hotel to rest and paid extra money for nothing. I have asked my second night money back they denied and ask me to contact Expedia.

The hotel was beautifully designed and very comfortable. Highlight was the concierge Nizar, who was mos helpful every single time. We found him to more welcoming than all staff, going out of his way to answer all our queries, helping us locating our destinations etc. highly recommended.

Clean hotel next to airport with free transfer.
It is old school hotel, but quit clean and comfortable. Transfer is free of charge from/to Vnukovo airport, but need to be booked in advance by email. Good breakfast. pleasant staff. Wonderful girls!!!

Restaurants were often occupied by a big group, and other people were ordered simply "Go to **** (another restaurant name)", without further explanation or apologizes. It happened to me at restaurant A and ordered to go to B, but at B again ordered to go to A. Other aspects were all right including food which was fabulous.

This hotel takes you to new height of misery..Seriously avoid this place if you want enjoy yous stay in Russia...Let me just take you through a few of the joys at this place. Style: This is an old Soviet era hotel, and showing signs of age..it takes in coachloads of Chinese tourists that dominate everything, making the place very loud and far from relaxing. Reception: You are then greeted by a receptionist who are so grumpy they could audition as one of Snow White's Dwarfs. Restaurant: I ate only once (never again) was served an undercooked pasta dish with cheese that was slapped down by the waitress like she was doing you a favour. Room: Was OK...but old bed was comfortable and clean but dated furnishings Location: The area where the hotel is makes downtown Soweto look like Disneyland...it is horrible. I make the mistake of staying here please don't do the same..price is low for a reason..Next time I will spend a little more and stay at a decent hotel in Moscow because this place is just depressing.

Clean nice hotel with lots of good restaurants
Area looks a little rough but not a problem. Gym and spa is not free for guests however cost 750 RUB. Pool table next to bar is good and service all round it good except for some reason no deserts except ice cream?! 20+mins walk to nearest underground station.

Convenience & Comfort
I made the choice to stay at this hotel because it was close to the airport. Little did I know that it provided much more convenience and comfort. Normally, I stay at one of the big chains, but now this location and space has changed where I'll be staying in Moscow in the future. The staff was helpful. The location near the metro was perfect for a short walk. I could slip down to a nearby market if I wanted some nourishment outside of the offerings of the hotel. There is no doubt, I'll be staying here again.

Decent hotel for overnight stay.
The hotel is obviously far from anything you would expect on any kind of resort, but it is good enough if you need to stay overnight or drop you bags and go to the city. For the provide I paid (45USD/night) I couldn't expect anything more. So, just set your expectations right and you will be quite satisfied with your stay.

Nice hotel. Close to Vnukovo airport.
We only stayed one night between our flights. I was very impressed with the hotel. For a 3 star hotel it was an excellent choice for us. Definitely will stay again.

Pleasant stay
I had just 1 night in moscow between my flights, so i thought to find some cheap hotel with a shuttle to vnukovo airport. This hotel ended up be better than i expected. Room is very clean and new. I spent there just a few hours, but i was very pleasant. The only one thing, they don't have shuttle to Vnukovo early in the morning! I think they have it from 9am. I had to catch a taxi. (1000 rubles= about $15).

I booked this hotel because of the free hotel shuttle. Unfortunately, the shuttle was not provided. I waited for more than an hour hoping the shuttle will arrive but eventually I got the information that the shuttle wouldn't come.

Airport transfer stay
My husband and I were only staying here for one night for a transfer flight. It was a very strange hotel experience. There was discarded furniture and a mattress in the hallway. The entrance and lobby were the remnants of a once glorious time, now in decline and just felt awkward. However, for $50/nt it got the job done. It was only a few miles away from the airport and our Uber ride was very cheap.

Good hotel for short stays
The hotel served my need. I needed one night before I left for Vnukovo Airport. It was perfect. The rooms are small but clean, the staff were helpful in ordering a taxi and the location excellent for my need. I did order two beers at the bar and was charged over 1000 rubles which for this class of hotel was ridiculous. I did not eat at the restaurant and left too early for breakfast. Will I stay again? Yes. I paid only $60 for the night and the location and the room was what I needed.

A Soviet era hotel with modern efficiency. Personnel is friendly, rooms clean. I removed do not disturb sign only at about 4pm – they still cleaned the room. Walking distance to subway station (Yugo Zapadnaya), or they have a shuttle for a small fee. Nice theater (Teatr na Yugo Zapade) very close by. Good internet in rooms, good breakfast. Gym in the building for a small fee. It’s a huge hotel with crowds of people at breakfast.

5 night stay with no hot water
The hotel is very large with many rooms , does not appear to cater for english speaking guests very well. The rooms are very clean and a good size. Constant noise from the traffic outside, i was on the 5th floor , it may be quieter higher up. You get a kettle and 2 cups in your room, but no tea / coffee/ sugar/milk . I asked when checking in if i could charge food / drinks to my room. Told NO, i asked if the bar / restaurants took credit cards i was told we are not sure !!! I. The breakfast was very good when i eventually managed to find where it was served as no signage or directions. My main complaint was on arrival nobody mentioned that there was no hot water. When i realised the water was cold i went to reception and was told there had been a small accident and the supply of hot water was off but would be on again the next day. No hot water the next day. I again complained and was told , sorry we should have it fixed today. The next day no hot water, by the 4th day i was fed up with having to have a cold shower, in reception they now had a sign saying due to planned maintenance there would be a tempary loss of hot water !!! i asked why they were lying to the customers as it was not planned maintenace at all and asked if they could define tempary , i was told it was healthy to shower cold. Water came back on the morning that i left. They did not offer a reduction in price, did offer a 2nd hand bath robe and a cheap bottle of red wine.!!

Reasonable hotel
There are MANY restaurants available at the hotel; the room was fine; the location was OK - there's a supermarket 5 minutes walk away and the Metro station is about 20 minutes' walk. If I were to stay in Moscow again, I would use this hotel if I could not find another closer to the city for the same price.

Basic Hotel in SW Moscow
This is a good basic hotel in southwest Moscow. The rooms are very clean, although everything is a bit older. Everything is comfortable but basic. There is a TV with only Russian speaking channels. The mini refrigerator is good for keeping a few things cool. The one convenience missing is a room safe, which would be very convenient for storing extra money and other valuables. My room was a basic business class single so higher class rooms may have better amenities. There are plenty of little shops, some of which seem to be open late hours. The money exchange is behind a sports bar but was only crowded once during the week I was there. Breakfast is included, which is a huge buffet with excellent food. I did not try the other many restaurants in the hotel. There is a business center if you need the Internet. The location of the hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the nearest metro, which was not a problem for me. If walking is not your thing, there are buses that will take you to the metro. The price of a room is very reasonable considering how expensive Moscow can be. The hotel staff were very helpful and there is always at least one person at the front desk who speaks English. This was my first stay at the Hotel Salyut and I would not mind staying there again.

Good hotel but a little bit far away
The hotel is next to busy intersection of Vernadskogo and Lininskyi prospekt. It is 20 minutes walk from / to nearest metro station and additional 25 minutes by metro to the city center. This is the biggest disadvantage.
