“great location but a little bit to high in price”
well located closed to most tourist atractions
“well located Hotel at a fair price”
this is a well located hotel walking distance to mayor attractions and few steps from the metro
“a convenient hotel”
the hotel staff speak good english and were happy to help and assist
“Golden Ring”
Nice hotel, very good service
“Near Arbat street but Taxis in agreement with hotel are astronomically expensive”
The Hotel is almost a landmark in Moscu, due to the fact that it has an old fashioned neon ilumination all over its facade, so it is easy to be recognized by Taxis that does not speak english by rule!!! The disadvantage is that Taxis in agreement with the hotel costs a 900 rubles minimum fare as it is considered a 5 stars. So If you do not want to use a Taxi you only have the option of using Moscow Metro (subway) that has two entrances near to the Golden Ring, but I highly recomend to take the Arbat Ulitsa (street) entrance and not the Smolenskaya entrance. In other things the hotel room is very comfortable and had a nice view to the landscape depending on your room location. We asked for a non smoking room and we did not have any problem. It also has an ATM (cashier) machine inside the hall but you must read cyrilic alphabet or be very smart in guessing the correct buttons to dispose rubles (using de icons and the colors). Breakfast is very expensive (like 50 dollars per person per day) considering that it does not offer any fruits or options different of scrambled eggs with mushrooms and ham... I still recomend this hotel but would take a risk to pay something cheapier but reserving with two or three months of advance (I went on busy season with only two weeks of advance so I did not have other real cheapier options)..
“Best business hotel in Moscw”
If you want a very good business hotel in Moscow at reasonable price chose Golden Ring. I have stayed in this hotel couple of days every month since more than 10 years and I can confirm that the quality of service, maintenance etc stays on a very high level all the time - staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean and well maintained, rooms service fast and reliable - you get what you order...and the location is great with (for Moscow circumstances) good access to and from the airport and to downtown.
“It is max 4 stars hotel per worldwide standard (not 5*)”
We ordered and paid for "Deluxe Room", but actually the room looks standard room. Couldn't find any deluxe item or service. The location is outside the first ring, It was awful arriving to the hotel by car because of the traffic jam on the nearby road junction. The hotel staff couldn't find a taxi for us because the taxi drivers don't want to take the tourist per the standard tariff. The taxis prefer to take "special price" from the tourists, which is 4 times the legal rate.
“Great Hotel, Great Location, Superb Service”
The Golden Ring Hotel is a great hotel in a great central location but what makes it exceptional is that staff are prepared to go the extra mile to ensure exceptional service.
“Really enjoyed Moscow”
The hotel was very clean and our room was comfortable, we stayed in a Junior Suite. The staff were friendly and a majority spoke English. Localle was good, tourist shops closeby and about a 40 minute walk to the Kremlin. There are 3 very good restaurants in the hotel, 2 of which offer views over the entire city center. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Great price for a great location”
This a great hotel for the price you pay. It's a little old but well maintained. Very centrally located in Moscow. Walking distance to Arbat street which is a famous tourist walkway. Close to two metro stations Arbatskaya and Shavelesky. Room is spacious, comfortable bed. Vault, and many more amenities. Loved the free internet access! Breakfast was way to pricey for my taste ($40) so I opeted for the local cafe which was litterly 300 ft away. Within 20 feet of hotel you have a 24 hour grocery store. I highly recommend as for Moscow it's a great deal.
