“Great location”
Very convenient for the major tourist sights
“Exclusive boutique hotel in the hart of Moscow”
This was my fist stay at the Golden Apple hotel and it exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect, a few minutes from central matro station, near theaters, restaurants and in the walking distance from the Red Square. Staff is very friendly and proactive. If you like modern stylish interior, this place will not disappoint. Overall I had a wonderful stay and will definitely use this hotel in the future.
“Nice escape from chains in a convenient location”
Do you look for something with character rather than your standard chain hotel? The Golden Apple has it. The location is great as it is near Moscow city center; you can walk, take the subway, or hire a taxi to go to Red Square or the surroundings with ease. The hotel restaurant had very tasty nourishment, though slightly expensive like everything in Moscow. The service was impeccable across all responsibilities at the hotel.
“Great boutiquie comfort in foreign surroundings!”
Charming boutique hotel. Was great to come back to the hotel after a long day sight seeing to relax in comfort or have a drink at the trendy bar downstairs. Easy enough to walk to the major tourist places.
“Golden Apple”
This is a manageable hotel with professional and friendly staff who speak English very well. The location is very good. There were problems with the internet, which really interfered with my ability to conclude my business and their computer equipment is slow and outdated. The internet service in the room, which is run through another company, was much too expensive. Otherwise, I was happy with the hotel and the staff.
“Great hotel for its price!”
I wouldn't call it 5*, it was max 3. But the service was great! We arrived to the hotel at 7 am, and they let us check in at that time! that was amazing. Nice clean rooms, and very good location!
“Great experience at Golden Apple”
Beautiful small hotel in the heart of Moscow with reasonable prices. Looks new and very modern. It has the best location you can imagine, within 15 min walking from Red Square and 5 min from subway station. High quality customer service. The staff was nice and friendly. They didn't have free Superior room which I requested, so the reception girl upgraded me to Deluxe room for free. The room is not very big, but very clean and has a nice interior. There is free high-speed internet and Nespresso coffee machine with complimentary capsules. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be staying at Golden Apple again in the future.
“Very Disappointed”
The restaurant is very bad. Do NOT eat there. Also, we requested a professional tour guide who was fluent in English. Our guide barely spoke English and charged 50 euros per hour - 50 euros for hour for being a driver and nothing more! He didn't have any knowledge as to the history of the places we were supposed to be sightseeing. It's not acceptable for the concierge of a good hotel to arrange for such an incompetent tour guide. He wasn't even a professional tour guide - he didn't even have a badge! We had to pay for his museum entrance fees on top of the 50 euros per hour!!!
“Hotel is not quite a boutique hotel and quite a distance from the city center”
1. Concierge (which is also the front desk) is not efficient in placing reservations. Multiple "alleged" reservations made for Cafe Pushkin only to find out later that there was none. I confirmed my reservation with the concierge in the morning that we arrived only to find out that no reservation was made by the hotel. The staff said that she would be placing the reservation that morning. In the afternoon, another staff had to place another reservation because there was no reservation placed. I was still in the States when I e-mailed them about the reservation and they e-mailed me back that they already placed the reservation. They were not even aware that the restaurant was divided into 3 sections. Only when I mentioned that I wanted to be in the "library" floor of the restaurant did they start inquiring about it in the restaurant. They intended to place my reservation for the first floor which was not my intention. Good thing I read about it before I left for the trip. 2. Concierge is not very knowledegeable -- most of them are very young and sometimes do not have a clue. 3. Hotel is quite a walk from the center. 4. Room is small - to think that we've been upgraded to the 6th floor (executive level) 5. Breakfast was good - much needed for the walking 6. Room was clean 7. Staff was courteous 8. Do not bring $100 bills if you plan to convert your dollars when you get there because machine converters do not accept them. Bring instead $50 and smaller bills.
“overall satisfied”
good value ( relatively) when compared to how exorbitant rates can be. half hour walk to Kremlin or metro ride a way. convenient enough. good beakfast included. free upgradde and early checkin. staff was pleasant.
