“Great Stay - BBS”

Staff at the Marriott were beyond helpful. Not to mention, sights were well within walking distance. Could use in-room wifi, but hanging in the lobby wasn't that bad. Meals are pricey, but thats Moscow for ya!

“Priced like a 5 stars, it is still just a Courtyart”

The hotel is located in a great location - a friendly and central side street in the heart of Moscow. Overall a high standard Courtyard - but like other Moscow Marriot properties grossly overpriced. For the same money or marginally more one can stay in a proper 4-5 stars

“Great location to explore Red Square”

The Courtyard Marriot is a good budget hotel. The hotel is not luxury, however it was clean and comfortable. They offer free wireless in the public areas and the staff were friendly and spoke good english. The only problem we had, was that they wouldn't call for us to confirm our return transportation. They requested we do it from our room. The restaurants were good and had a good menu. We used the weight room which had modern equipmrnt for cardio. The area around the hotel is safe to walk around at night and you can walk to Red Square in about 20 minutes.

“Moscow Business Trip”

Book hotel before you travel and prepay through Expedia, our company currently has a corporate rate which was double the price we received through Expedia. Hotel usual Marriot excellent standard, and great location.

“Helpful Hotel”

The desk staff was very helpful. They worked to get us all checked in early ( a rarity in Europe). They helped us select a show to see and explained how to get there. the lobby is spacious, so it is easy to wait there until the whole party has gathered.

Traveller's tip

Fresh orange juice is very very expensive in Moscow. Be careful to check the menu price before ordering juice. There are little backeries on the street. They have coffee and breakfast sized quiches. The quality is excelent and much cheaper than a cafe.

“Great hotel, good location, exceptionally friendly.”

We stayed in the Marriott for one night as part of our trip to Moscow and St Petersburg. Although the hotel was tricky to find from the Expedia map (would recommend printing off a more detailed one), they were excellent. We arrived at 7am, they checked us in and we could go to our room (to our surprise!), the room was comfortable and had a great view of the city. Would definitely suggest this as you could easily walk to Red Sq or the metro for other sights.

Go inside the Kremlin - fantastic. Gorky park is also interesting for something that's a bit different.

“Probably the best Hotel in Moscow”

Everything about Courtyard Marriott was absolutely fantastic. It's almost brand new, stylish, clean but not to big, loud and glamorous as the usual 5 star suspects. True it could be nearer to a tube station but that's the beauty of it! With only 10 minutes walk down only one single street, it's literally opposite the Red Square whilst hidden in a quiet residential neighbourhood! I'd stay there anytime again and recommend it to every traveller.

“Convenient and friendly place to stay in Moscow centre”

Good hotel - doesn't look all that exciting from the outside but they made good use of the courtyards to add light to the rooms and reception area. Extremely helpful receptionist and customer services girl was very friendly . Arranged last minute tickets for the Bolshoi Ballet at about half the price of prebooking in the uk - well worth a visit for the experience. Quite a long walk (10-15 mins) to red square and a fair distance from any metro stations (about the same) Very comfortable and clean -roadhouse grill useful for snacks and easy meals -

Traveller's tip

Moscows a big city! Metro the best way to get around - the garden ring road is lethal (our friend was in a taxi which was almost written off by a mad local!) Enjoy discovering the metro - it's fun trying to figure out the names of stations - it's very cheap and extremely quick. Go the Partisanskaya station and visit the market there for good value souvenirs (much cheaper than Arbat district) - we bought a fur hat for about 1200 roubles which is a fraction of the price in the shops -

“Great location”

This hotel is in a great location, just minutes walking distance from Kremlin, Red Square, and St. Basil's. Breakfast buffet was included with our room and was excellent and included pancakes, hashbrowns, eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit and juice, etc. Internet access (NOT wireless) in room for a per night fee. Beds were clean, but mattress was hard. Tub in bathroom was made for extremely small/thin people. Do not plan on taking a comfortable bath while staying there. And there were no "bathrobes and slippers" provided as stated in the description. In house restaurant was excellent albeit slightly pricey. Staff was very friendly and most spoke English.
