The hotel staff were paranoid about being paid. It hardly made us feel welcome. Plus the shower was weak and not warm.

Much better than previous owners from two years ago! Small improvements needed however: TV remotes need cleaning and sanitising when room is cleaned - the one in our room was quite disgusting! Plus TV would not change channels! A better quality toilet roll would also be appreciated.

Great little gem
Great place to stay when visiting the Cotswolds. Perfect little village and the team at the crown are very welcoming and has a great atmosphere. The locals are very friendly. The food was lovely too I had the Sri lankian curry special which was delicious and my partner had the steak which was cooked perfectly.

Staff were absolutely lovely. Bed lovely and comfortable and good, albeit small shower but for some reason the room smelled of mothballs which took me straight back to my childhood at my grans. They only do curry so bear that in mind but, having seen how packed the place was l tried it and it was pretty average and not cheap. No ale at the bar and bloody tv screbut again, l must stress that the staff are all really great and the room was very clean and comfortable so, for the price l say YEAH 👍

We will definitely return!
The hosts were very friendly and courteous. We were made to feel very welcome. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a drink in the pleasant bar and an excellent meal in the restaurant. Very good quality ingredients and great service. Excellent chef. We will definitely return.

Good value in an expensive area
Room comfortable and shower excellent. Access to off-street parking somewhat challenging due to a tight entrance. Staff welcoming and efficient. Breakfast an extra charge.

I stayed here all week and couldn't fault it, staff was welcoming the room was perfectly clean and cleaned when needed to be throughout my stay. The meals i ate here was also perfect. Parking was bit tight but managed fine after a couple attempts and if not parking was fine directly outside the hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights. Delighful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Car park is a little tricky if you have a larger car but that was the only downside. Would definitely stay there again.

Staff were very nice and welcoming. Showed us to our room and were very friendly and welcoming in the restaurant morning and night. The Sri Lanka dinner special was very nice. Parking was a bit harrowing getting up the steep/narrow path. Not much else in the immediate area for restaurants. Room was spacious but a bit dusty/dated. Nice that it had air conditioning. Has a vintage charm to it.

I was in a single room which was quite small with quite tired looking carpet and bathroom. The dinner was quite pricey and the continental breakfast quite basic. The service though cannot be faulted as the staff were polite and friendly.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this little gem.
I had a wonderful stay. At first I was worried as I had to wait a while for reception service but I didn’t need to worry. Mr room was separate to the hotel and was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was fab, really tasty and the hash browns were to die for. The evening menu was great and the Sri Lankan lamb curry was superb. Overall a fantastic experience.

We liked that the hotel had their own parking (one of the reasons I picked the place), a nice dining room, room was of good size, and good wi-fi. We didn't like that there was only a thin curtain over the bathroom window (we put up a towel over the window), the very hard bed, staff gave us a hard time when we wanted extra towels, the bathroom sink and mirror presented challenges.

Great Stay
Owners could not of been more helpful, very nice people. Evening meal was excellent especially the Sri Lankan Special, Room was great, very old which is good for us as has character. Bed very comfy, bathroom fine Car park behind which is a great asset Lovely Cotswold village with nice walks

This hotel has many good things about such as genuinely lovely staff who were helpful to me. The breakfast was delicious. My room was acceptable and very clean. The bathroom window looks out onto the carpark and urgently needs some plastic frosting on the lower part because pulling down the blind each time you enter is a nuisance and it was not nice keeping the blind down permanently. The only other thing i found difficult was the narrow entrance from the road which is both entrance and exit, i was fortunate not to encounter a car coming in opposite direction.
