A comfortable hotel, know the facts before booking
Pros: Location is convenient. Place is clean. Room has a kitchenette. Price is reasonable. Parking is off site, 3-4minutes walk from Hotel, costs $12 / 17 for 24 hours depending on if it is on a weekend or weekday. Cons: This hotel has quite a bit of steps, not accessible for people with disabilities. When we booked the Hotel, its advertisement says it includes breakfast. I understand that the Quebec government has ordered no eat-in in all restaurants, I wish the Hotel would still provide a take-out light breakfast (even a muffin and a coffee). Also inside the room, there was no coffee or tea bags.

Few minutes by foot from Sainte Catherine’s street which was great. Staff was extremely friendly. The room is SMALL and outdated but has what you need.

Hotel rebooked our room and then refused refund! We were delayed because Greyhound cancelled all buses to Montreal for the day due to weather. We called the hotel to confirm we would still arrive for the second night and to please hold the reservation. Staff was very friendly and said not a problem, they would see us the next day. When we arrived they had re-booked our room and had no vacancies. After calling a manager, the clerk assured us that they would leave a note on our file to approve a refund but that we would have to call expedia to process the refund. Unfortunately, we would have to find (and pay for) other accommodations in the meantime. Again, staff were very friendly and apologetic. When I followed up with expedia, they called to confirm with the the hotel manager who then refused to honour the refund, claiming we were a no-show. I explained again the circumstances: That I had called to confirm our late arrival and that our reservation for the second night would be waiting for us and that when it wasn't we were assured we would be refunded. Expedia customer service called the hotel again and the manager still refused. I have stayed here before and enjoyed my stay but this is unacceptable business practice. I am shocked.

There was a major ant infestation in my room that cause me a lot of anxiety. And the hotel staff did not address it right away. I requested another room and was yold the hotel was fully booked. Also the bathroom door was coming off the hinges and the shower tap was broken.

Bonjour, dans la 308, vous avez toute cassé dans la chambre: la porte, la douche. Vous fumez de la drogue avec votre fils de 15 ans, pour preuve c'est la police qui vous a fait sortir de l'hôtel et si c'était si horrible pourquoi rester 3 semaines. Peut-être que si vous preniez moins de drogue vous auriez moins d'anxiété. Des client comme vous on s'en passe Merci et bonne journée

Small, clean, quiet, well located older building
For the money, this is a great resort for low-key travelers. Quiet and clean, and located right near a TON of restaurants and bars, it’s a nice spot. Rooms are a bit small, and the bathroom as well, but they’re comfy and clean. The water in the shower definitely wasn’t hot if everyone else in the building was using it, because it’s not the newest building, but other than that we had a pretty great stay. We will probably return here next time!

Upon arrival, everything seemed great. The hotel is centrally located, surrounded by restaurants and shops. It’s a quick walk to the metro, but we were able to walk pretty much everywhere. Our room was a decent size, and at first, was very clean. However, the next day we discovered a herd of ants in our bathroom. They were all over the sink, and in the garbage. When we talked to the receptionist about it, she seemed dismissive about our concerns. She told us they’ve been spraying parts of the hotel that have been infested with ants, and that they’ll spray our room later. She didn’t offer us another room (which was fine), but she couldn’t even give us a solution to lessen the issue. We needed up having to kill the ants on the sink ourselves, and take our own garbage to prevent an even larger swarm. My girlfriend woke up one morning with tiny bites on both her arms, her legs, and her stomach. We feared bed bugs, but we DIDN’T find any when we stripped the bed and double checked the mattress. The only bugs we actually saw were the ants. As college students, we unfortunately didn’t have the option of checking out and finding another place to stay for the duration of our visit in Montreal. But the bugs in our room filled us with so much anxiety, it was hard to relax and enjoy our stay.

The rooms are a little small but the location is the best for the price also the staff was very friendly we came in late and there was no issue we only called and someone met us at the door and remembered us by name.i would definitely recommend and book again.

I had a really bad experience at this hotel mainly because the owner does not really care about the comfort and experience of her customers. Right after we checked-in, my partner and I were put on the 1st floor. On the way to our room, we noticed that the hallway, including the room smelled really bad. It smelled like there was garbage or sewage left unattended to for a while. Because of this smell, I complained to the receptionist and she said it was possible to switch to a different room. Even when I went to the 3rd floor I noticed it smelled bad as well. At this point, I wanted a refund in which the receptionist said it was possible if we spoke to the owner. About 10-15mins after the owner came, we explained the situation to her about the discomfort and smell we were experiencing and the owner was not ready to listen to us and denied the fact that there was a smell and even further said that she couldn’t do anything about refunding us because Expedia would take about 4 hours to respond to her on the phone and that they would‘nt refund her of the payment in which I made through them which was a lie. When i call the customer service number over at Expedia it took approximately 2-5mins to get to a customer service representative and said that all that needed to be done was to get an approval from the owner for the refund. When the customer service representative called her she denied our request because she clearly knew that was not doing anything to help us.

Shower problems, but otherwise great!
Everything was great except the shower didn't seem to want to keep hot water on for more than 30 seconds at a time. The location was great and the staff was super friendly! Great stay for the price. :)

The pictures of the room gave a false view of what it would look like. I was expecting more than what was experienced. Lighting was pretty awful, when the fluorescent lights weren’t working I was left with a broken lamp. There was a recurring smell of wet paint, but that may have been from outside. The overall building is beautiful, and the area even more. The hotel grew on me and I eventually embraced the shortcomings as the hotel’s personality.

This place was convenient, and on a busy street with lots of food and entertainment options. Walking distance from most areas I needed to visit. Staff were quite friendly and helpful. And accommodated me checking in late(after 9pm) Keep in mind this property is on a busy street so depending on where you are it might be a tad noisy. I was on the third floor and the sound didnt travel as much. Breakfast was free and serviceable. Overall a good hotel for a short visit, and if you're not going to be inside primarily.

Decent place in a busy location!
Great location. Loud if you are on the "inn" side I guess, but my room was quiet! Lots of restaurants around. Staff wad friendly. AC remote was broken so it was stuck on one temp all night. Really small and a little overpriced.

I didn't like the fact that there were lots of stairs and no lift. The property is old and in need of refurbishment. Staff were friendly. My room was Ok, but the reason to choose this hotel is its proximity to the bus station.

The location was excellent! The hotel was very overpriced for the quality. The service for breakfast was excellent and the crepes were great. The room was clean but small, dark and quite a noisy location with a bar next door.

The Hotel was very comfortable and the staff was excellent. The negative was no elevator and different flights of stairs. It worked but was not expected.

Since there was no elevator, there was no porters or anyone to help getting luggage up & down multiple levels to room or up steps to front door. The outside entry needed updating and made to be more appealing. Handrails on front steps need to be secured to wall! It was very clean in rooms & dining area.

No, just don’t do it. Find a better place
Parking is too far away. Fire alarm went off at 3:30am and no one from the hotel besides one dude who barely spoke English was there to help. I believe we were lied to about where the fire originated from. Fire system sprinklers didn’t work and just leaked out. Just find a better place for a little bit more money. Beds are rocks as well
