“My Short visit to Montreal”
The hotel was overall very nice. The only issue we had was that the water preasure was very weak. Also, it was tricky figuring out the thermostat. The last issue we has was that there wasn't any food service past 10pm.
“What a boutique hotel is!”
we are originally from Montreal. We stayed 4 nights at Le Germain: breakfast is excellent, the hotel service is efficient, every body is nice. The room on the 16th floor, the last floor,is not the best because of the noise from the air/heating vents on the roof but the bed was very comfortable. More towels and bed covers would be useful. Overall, good ambiance in this well located (Sherbrooke street and Ste-Catherine in walking distance) boutique hotel. It is expensive if you book separately though, go for the package if you can and enjoy a relaxing experience in "la belle ville de Montreal"either as tourists or on business.
“Very impressed, will definitely return!”
One of the best hotels we've stayed at. Service was friendly and immaculate. Staff very helpful. Throw in a brand new Audi A8 as a free shuttle - how can you beat that? We also love the contemporary decor and cleanliness of the hotel/room. The big glass shower is very cool, though some people may find there is a lack of privacy since the blinds are controlled inside the room, not inside the bathroom. No problem for couples though.
“Comfy Stylish Hotel in Great Location”
We recently stayed at the Hotel Le Germain for a long weekend and had a lovely experience. The room was beautifully appointed and looked and smelled brand new. We requested hypoallergenic bedding and it was changed out, no problem. The bathroom was amazing with a huge shower and Molton Brown products, fluffy towels, and cozy bathrobes. The room was not huge, but who comes to Montreal to spend all day in a hotel room? One of the best things about the hotel is the breakfast buffet which was delicious! We would definitely stay there again. My only two minor gripes were that the coffee machine in the lobby was often out of milk, coffee, hot chocolate, or all three, and the green apples set out in the lobby disappeared the second day and were never replenished. Other than that, we loved it!
“Pretty Good”
Nice hotel downtown Montreal, very good location. Bathroom counter very small. No in-room coffee maker. Quite expensive, and if I compare it to other hotels in Montreal in the same price range, I prefer other ones.
“Almost Perfect”
Having stayed at Hotel 1812 in Quebec, a Le Germain property, we had high expectations for their sister property in Montreal. We were not disappointed. Had the front desk personnel and the concierge (who sent us on a wild goose chase to find a restaurant he recommended) been more interested in our stay, everything would have exceeded expectations. The room and its amenities were just perfect. The hotel is quiet and the breakfast buffet included was quite nice. If you want an English-speaking paper, you must make a special request. We would return to this property and hope for some different service personnel.
“nice little hotel”
I don't understand this trend toward glass-wall showers, where the wall separating the bedroom from the shower is floor-to-ceiling glass. Unless you are in an exhibitionist mood, why would you want someone else to see you taking a shower? Extremely awkward for families with children. At least at le Germain there are blinds you can close from the bedroom side. The bed mattress was a little soft for my taste, but other than these two issues, everything was fine. There is a laptop and printer off the lobby area, which is available for guests to use, free of charge, making it convenient to print your airline boarding pass. The people at reception are very nice and helpful. The breakfast which is included with the room fee is more than adequate - be sure to try the Fairmount bagels!
“Great, we will go back”
Great and with cool elegance.
“Great location and overall terrific place to stay in Montreal”
Very pleasant hotel. Extremely nice staff. The location is great, an easy walk to McGill and shopping/restaurant areas of downtown. Restaurant was also great. I would definitely stay here again.
“Great place to cosy up.”
As long as you know you are in a 5 stars hôtel and prepare to treat yourself then go this Hôtel and just relax. They will all take good care of you with a big smile on their face. My experience was fantastic and I will likely return.
