Dining
The Beaver Club - Recognized as one of Canada's premier restaurants, the legendary Beaver Club offers French cuisine deeply rooted in Québec's voyageur and fur-trading heritage. Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant began as a private club, founded in 1785. Today, club memberships are honorary and include luminaries from the sports, business, and entertainment arenas. The dining room is traditional, with wood-paneled walls, white-linen table settings, and rich leather dining chairs. A private dining room is available for use by small groups. The seasonal menu showcases regionally inspired French cuisine with some low-fat and vegetarian choices. A wine cellar holds more than 700 vintages, including a selection of Canada's top wines.
Le Montréalais Bistro - Le Montréalais is a two-level restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The casual, European ambience is complemented by a menu featuring Mediterranean cuisine, grilled meat dishes, and fresh fish. Buffets are available at breakfast and lunch. Children ages 6 and under receive complimentary meals when accompanied by a parent; meals for children ages 7 to 12 are discounted by 50-percent.
Les Voyageurs Bar Lounge - Serving lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks, Les Voyageurs has a long brass and wood bar, small intimate tables, and comfortable group sitting areas with leather couches and wingback chairs. Stools surround the grand piano, where a singer performs every evening. Guests enjoy a seasonal oyster bar (September to March), local microbrews on tap, an extensive martini list, and local liqueurs such as maple-syrup-flavored whiskey. The signature drink is "Give Peace a Chance," a gin-and-sake tribute to John Lennon and Yoko Ono, who staged their 1969 week-long "Bed-In for Peace" in Suite 1742 of the hotel.

“Great for Canadiens Games”
The Queen Elizabeth was the perfect location for our trip. The train brought us right there. Great shopping a stone's throw away and a five-minute walk to the Bell Centre for the Canadiens game. Great deal on Expedia. Really nice hotel. My only tiny complaint is that our room was a bit tiny. Great quality though. Highly recommended.
“Perfect location - great service!”
Just came back from two nights at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. We took the train, and it's so convenient!! We were checked in and in our room less than 10 minutes after our train arrived. The Front Desk staff were so friendly, found us a late-night dinner spot, and the concierge the following day made sure we didn't miss any of the great things to see in Montreal. It was the perfect place to stay, and we are already planning our next trip!
“An Island of Tradition”
In a world of change how refreshing to rely on the same traditions - a landmark in the middle of everything. Steps from the station and from key downtown shopping and business sectors, yet quiet and refined and steeped in the history of the city, starting with the superb Beaver Club restaurant. Fairmont has ensured the continuation of those traditions and provides service, courtesy and comfort beyond reproach.
“Thanksgiving stay”
we liked the hotel
“Another Great Stay With the Queen!”
The QU is always first rate. Valet park, quick and courteous check-in (especially if you join their free President's Club which also brings free wireless at all of their hotels), beautiful surroundings, small but comfortable room, great work space, nice tub (hate the Hilton and places that are deciding for all of us that we only need showers!), great room service with great food. Didn't get to the health club this time but it's also very nice.
“Great stay overall ! Bed could be more comfortable !”
Everything is perfect about this hotel... clean, location and service. My only complaint is the bed. Really not comfortable. Other than that, I recommend this hotel.
“"Go to Place"”
The Queen Elizabeth is our 'go to' hotel when we want to spoil ourselves with both amenities and kindness of staff. Plus the food cannot be beat, and believe me, we have tried! We've been going here for over twenty years and they have always been the best, bar none. Try it, you'll see for yourself!
“Lovely hotel in the downtown area”
A beautiful hotel in a good location. A long walk to Old Town and right in the middle of downtown close to good shopping and food. Enjoyed our stay!
“Fancy Hotel in Good Location”
Fancy Hotel in good location. It had a great view of a public square area outside. Bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned just how I wanted. Room looked nice but... some downsides. TV was NOT flat screens but the old bulky kind and it was in a cabinet/dresser so you have to open the doors to watch TV. I would have liked the room a bit bigger. Have to pay for internet.
“In the heart of downtown Montreal”
It was a nice hotel with great access to underground shopping levels of Montreal. This is a great place to stay if you have a conference since you can avoid the weather completely if you'd like. It is surrounded by restaurants and shops which made not having a rental car possible. Plenty of public transportation nearby as well.
