“Overall satisfied, but it didn't start so well”
We were originally given a room on the 9th floor, everything seemed going good though the room was very chilly (probably because it has 2 large windows), so when we turned up the heat the vent started making very loud noise; like a piece was loose and vibrating. When it happened again we called the front desk as we knew it would wake us up in the night, they sent someone right away to have a look and said we can switch rooms if we want. The person did the best they could fiddling with it and the noise seemed to go away but true enough we were awoken several times in the night when the heat would come on. On top of that around 6am some serious banging started to happen just above our heads - I guess they were renovating a room just above ours - we could not believe someone would give us a room underneath a room getting worked on! So we called the front desk again saying we would like to move and they sent a concierge with new room keys = floor 21! No noise, amazing view, comfy bed - made up for it totally for the remainder of our stay! So basically if you choose this hotel and you are not happy with something (especially if the renovations affect your stay) don't be shy in communicating the problem. We also took in the offers of the health club (gym, squash + sauna) and really enjoyed our stay in the end.
“In disrepair”
Unfortunately we were given a room(1202) in disrepair. Although the room was clean and the bed comfortable, the room seemed to be set up for upcoming repairs. The furniture was chiped, the wallpaper had seen better days and the patio door and windows were completely covered with humidity/dew which prevented us from seeing outside and sizing up the view. Old television with like 10 channels!!! Otherwise we were satisfied with the service.
“Clean, but...”
The lobby and restaurant were very nice and the room was clean. On the downside, ice machines only on odd floors, and the one above us was broken and the TV was really old. The batteries in the remote were dead. No matress cover.... Otherwise nice.
“its an ok hotel”
This hotel was over priced for what you got, the front desk service was great and the rooms was cleaned nicely every day. The store in the hotel was terrible with the guy running it seemed to be just making up prices ex a small bottle of pop and a small bag of chips 7 dollars and he didnt ring nothing in to the till just hummed and hawed about what to charge. Room service was terrible and the food was gross the worst food we had on our trip was at the hotel. The best thing about the hotel was the location. The pool was not a good experience since there are gym memberships for the hotel u have to compete with gym members for the pool and hot tub half of the pool is for laps but most of the time the whole pool is being used for laps, the sauna was terrible. The reason we had book this hotel is because it said it had a hot tub pool and sauna which it did but not worth it when u r sharing with gym members. The hotel is dated and not worth staying at. I dont recommend anyone staying at that hotel especially at the price.
“Great, friendly service!”
Stayed here for a hockey game. Close to Metro transit, nice neighbourhood, very friendly and helpfull service!
“Conveniently located ... but other than that, nothing stands out”
It is a OK hotel but not great. For that price, I am sure you can find something better in the downtown.
“Amazing BALCONY was a surprise!”
Excellent, helpful staff. Clean, quiet, great location! This was my second time, and I'll choose the Delta again for my next trip to Montreal!
“Go back when renovations are finished”
This hotel is not up to the same standards are as often Delta hotels, and is under renovation due to finish in spring 2012. There is no Wi-Fi in the hotel, so those who need internet access will have to connect their computer with an ethernet cable and pay an additional $13.95 CDN per day for access. Documentation in the room is not current and the TV, bathroom, and other fittings are very dated.
“Would use this hotel again.”
Centrally located.
“Happy with room service”
very convenient location. Staff were very polite and helpful.
