“Wonderful Hotel”
If you're looking for a classy hotel in downtown Montreal close to everything then Delta Centre Ville is a definite consideration. I really enjoyed my stay there and had no problems with any services. The room service was amazing with excellent food from their restaurant available 24/7. The room and bed were really clean and comfortable and had great sleep as it was peaceful with no sounds from other rooms. Overall I rate this hotel excellent as I've stayed there before and would stay there again - highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a hotel to stay in downtown Montreal.
“Nice place but needs updating.”
Hotel room itself needs some updating of it's decor. Otherwise, location is good, price was ok, service and restaurant was very good.
“Great hotel experience in Montreal!”
The Delta Centre Ville certainly held up to the great customer service and quality one usually receives at any Delta Hotel. I usually feel really good about my stay at Delta upon checking out and this hotel in Montreal was no exception. Very friendly staff and the location to Via Rail and old Montreal as well as shopping, great restaurants and the subway was great. I will not hesitate to stay there again,
“Very Disappointed”
Only thing positive was that our beds were comfortable but the room's furniture in great need for replacement. Television still the old models big box type. Carpet was very dirty and bathroom was not that clean.Upholstered chair dirty, placed towels on it so we could sit !!! Room very small so as the bathroom.
“Nice location !”
It was a very nice stay but the bathroom needed a Face Lift . Also, the restaurant on the 30th floor should also have a bar so we can enjoy a drink and see the night view without spending money for a full meal.
“Good for kids. Good sized pool for an indoor. Close to metro. A bit of a walk to Old Montreal.”
Good for kids. Good sized pool for an indoor. Connected underground to the metro. A bit of a walk to Old Montreal. Tim Horton's is just two blocks north. Room was fine though a little dated. Visited Old Montreal, the Science Center and the the Biodome. Everything was great. Street shows in Old Montreal were an unepected plus. Kids especially liked the metro.
“Do not stay here!”
Terrible, run down and dirty!
“Made a Great Hotel Choice”
My husband and I stayed in the Delta Centre Ville in Montreal for 3 nights, and we were so pleased with our decision that we made on Expedia. Sometimes you are a big skeptical with your decision because you just don't know if you're going to get what you see in the video, but we sure did make a great decision in picking Delta. The hotel is absolutely beautiful from the outside as well as it is in the inside. Everything from the lobby to the rooms were so cleaned, the decor is beautiful. We were on the 15th floor, and each morning the view was superb, and we also received an English newspaper early in the morning right outside our door. The personnel are so helpful and bi-lingual, everyone speaks French and English, although one particular night I heard a personnel person speaking 4 languages--Italian, Spanish, French and English. It rained one day and the personnel was able to loan us two umbrellas for the day. The location is also great, it is near subway stations and amtrak. We walked around the neighbor and felt safe--both early morning and late at night. We were booked to go on a tour, and the Tour guides came to the hotel to pick us up. The hotel has several computers for your use in the lobby. All in all, it is a great place to stay. I forgot to mention, but it also has a nice warm pool and gym room, but weren't able to use it, we were so busy doing things outside.
“so-so hotel”
The staff were fairly indifferent to guests, an unusual thing in Montreal. I asked on several occassions for help with renting a car, and making dinner reservations, etc.. they basically tell you to call yourself. There was NEVER a consierge on staff, and this was the city's high tourist season and hotel promo matereials mention a 24 hour consierge service...hmmm, never saw a person at that desk. The hotel door men and porters were the only ones who really offered any help to guests with questions.
“Looks good from afar but far from good”
After staying in a 1-star hotel for two days, it was nice seeing Deltaville look quite impressive from afar. Checked in and asked directions to the hotel parking lot. The receptionist was helpful and nice. Had lunch at the hotel restaurant. Service was good. If only I could say the same for the food. It was rather bland for my taste. Two hours after my meal, I had to rush to the bathroom not once but three times! I blame it on the bad food. While in the bathroom doing my business, I realized that the bathroom ceiling was leaking - and directly on my head! A closer look at the bathroom finishings show how old they are. The mirror had small cracks and chips. There was no place to hang a towel other than the shower rod itself. Also, my laptop was plugged to the lampshade until my battery died. I realized that the lampshade socket as well as the lamp itself weren't working. So I pulled out the lamp's plug from the wall socket and inserted my laptop plug directly. My laptop came back to life. The room alarm clock and radio weren't working either. The tiny television could also use some updating. In this present age of ipads, iphones, itunes, and ihops : ), I would have expected a flat screen tv. Don't park your car in P2, the hotel designated parking. They charge $22/day. You're better off parking in P3 and they charge only $15/day. Would I stay in this hotel again? Probably. The hotel staff were great. If only the hotel was too.
