We were very happy with the choice of this hotel for our 3 night stay in Paris. It is conveniently located on the border of St. Germain des-pres and Montparnasse, within close walking distance to 3 Metro stations on different lines and walkable to the RER station for access to/from CDG Airport. The hotel room was compact but well thought out with a modern design and very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and stylish hotel in a pleasant area of Paris.
I loved staying at Le Placide. It was very well-located and convenient to many locations. The staff and service was excellent. My room, which was upgraded to a junior suite (thank you, again!), was very spacious. More than enough for one person. I was very happy with this hotel and would stay there again. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for accommodations in the 6th arrondissement.

"Great location, everything within walking distance"
My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Sevres St. Germain for 7 nights. We stayed in room 22 on the 3rd floor. The room was very quiet. It was a tiny room, but this is normal for hotels in Europe. Everything in the room was well thought-out and there was plenty of room for all our stuff. The decor was bright, modern and cheerful. The bed was a little hard, but that's a very personal preference. The only thing missing was a mirror at the desk (to be able to use a curling iron - the outlet was too far from the full length mirror). The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby has a cute lounge area with a bar, so you can sip on a nice bourdeaux at the end of your day. What really makes this hotel stand out is its location. We visited La Grande Epicerie de Paris nearly every day. It's only a half a block away, towards rue de Sevres. Just down a few doors from the hotel is a fantastic boulangerie. We stopped there for morning croissants and baguettes. Across the street there's a good little Italian restaurant, and in the other direction, towards rue de Cherche Midi, there's a corner bistro that makes yummy croque monsieur.

Our room was very nice. The hotel staff was great and the location for eating was great. There was a little distance walk to all of the main attractions but in Paris, so what! What a beautiful city to take a walk!

The staff was wonderful. They were very personable and tried to be helpful in any way they could. The room was cute and comfortable and had typical amenities for a downtown Paris hotel at this price. It was convenient to several Metro lines and the RER as well as numerous restaurants, shops and attractions. I would stay there again.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Those who have traveled in Europe have come to expect tiny, dark hotel rooms. However, my room here was incredibly spacious, comfortable, bright, clean and modern. The bathroom/shower was also large and spacious (and everything in it worked). I also appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I don't speak French, and they were patient and gracious with me (unlike many other hotels I experienced in Paris). In the room, double windows open up for nice people watching on the street below. The view across the street isn't very charming -- just a big shopping mall -- but the hotel is within a two-minute walk of good charm -- wonderful streets, cafes, a sidewalk art exhibition on Sundays. Hip, fun, casual. Two metro stations within minutes walking. Also, across the street is the Montparnasse Tower -- one of the best views of Paris from its rooftop observatory (for about 14 eu). On Saturday night there was a wedding reception at the mall across the street -- kinda noisy -- but with the windows closed (and earplugs in) the noise disappeared.
Charming hotel in Montparnasse area, lovely area, not too overriden with tourists like Latin Quarter, Montmartre or Marais areas, convenient to four Metro stops. Plenty of local restaurants, lots of variety of things to eat at affordable prices. Room overlooked street with little balcony, although there was next to no noise. Room came equipped with small refrigerator (which was absolutely silent), electric water pot, powerful shower with lots of hot water. Beds were comfortable. Loved it and will definitely return.
