“OK alternative for traveling south from Moab”
Hotel was ok, as we could not get anything in Moab after returning from a rafting trip. Convenient if you are traveling south from Moab toward Monument Valley. Lamplighter Restaurant (about 1/2 mile away was very good.--however, no alcohol.) Town is nearly nothing.

Older property but good value - was just passing through and needed a place to spend the night - this hotel fit the bill!

We came in at 2am. We called ahead and told them that we would be late. They said that would be okay, but to call when we are 2-3 hrs away. I called from Moab, and they said they would be expecting us. The place was good and clean for the price. It did have a faint smokey smell. Water was warm. Service was great. Thanks.
“Good value for money”
You get what you pay for, the room was clean, WI FI Internet was fast, so in general I'd recommend this motel for 1 night if you're travelling to Arches or Monument Valley.
“Great price, decent hotel, good experience”
This motel is not a name-brand hotel, so no points or anything like that, but it worked very well for our little family of four. We chose to stay in Monticello to be close to Canyonlands, the Monticello Temple, and Arches. It turned out being a little bit too far from Arches (1 hour) to really work for that, but the savings we incurred by avoiding over-priced hotels in Moab may have been worth it. The hotel was probably built in the 1970s, and you can tell by the ceiling texture, but it is all very clean, kept up very well, and everything but the sink plug was working correctly. The Internet ad said there was wireless access, and we got unsecured access, but it was occasionally spotty. Cable TV worked. The check-in and check-out procedures were easy and pain free. The motel owner and his wife seem to run the whole show, but they were friendly and helpful. Finally, there was plenty of parking for our SUV and trailer. We would recommend the motel.
“Not as enjoyable as other hotels in the area”
Though this hotel costs the same as others in the area, I was dissappointed by the carelessness of the hotel staff. I stayed for 2 nights and the first night my kids and I used up all of the towels. I expected that the next day there would be new towels for us to use, but instead I found that they had folded the towels we used the previous day and put them back on the shelf. When we went to take showers again all of the towels were still wet or damp. As far as I could tell this hotel did not offer a continental breakfast like others in the area do. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. You would be better off staying at the Best Western around the corner. You get a continental breakfast, clean office with no smoke smell, and a continental breakfast.
