We enjoyed our 2 nights here, friendly staff and good facilities. Very good value breakfast. Close to main waterfront attractions.

Very relaxing, comfortable, and a great location for walking to dinner, aquarium and close to the path for a nice morning run. Family friend, would stay again

Costs too much for what it is.

Posted 26-Aug-2014
Pros: However, good location near the wharf.
Cons: Did not like that the pool was in a separate building that you needed to go out to public area in suit to get to.
After complaining about the location of our first room facing a very busy street, we were moved to another room that was identical. We were up all night with noise from motorcycles and trucks flying by. There is no AC so the windows need to be open or else the room gets too hot to sleep in. On the second night we moved to another room, that had a courtyard view so it was less noisy but near an exit so smokers hung out there and we got smoke and bright lights coming in. We were also appalled by the cost for wi-fi and other extras. Would not stay here again. Hope we weren't treated this way because we booked through Expedia...

Eady location near restaurants

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Hotel is very nice with lots of amenities nearby. Loved Vanessa at the Spa on Plaza. Great facial. Parking was easy. I did not enjoy hearing other hotel guest let their large dogs bark and howl on the balcony. We were in town for wedding and there was not a full length mirror in room to see how we looked for event. Vheck in took a little.too.long with only 2 people at desk and a line of us waiting.

Nice hotel

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Pros: Very convenient location and within walking distance to Wharf and lots of dining options. Clean and comfy.
Cons: No A/C, but had sliding glass door to open and ceiling fan. Problem is the street noise during the night if you leave the door open.
Location: Fisherman's Wharf is right out hotel's back door. Loved Rosine's for breakfast. Their chili egg puff was delish!
Overall, very nice stay. The hotel is in the process of updating some areas, so the parking garage area was a bit cluttered, but didn't notice anything once we were actually in the hotel. $17 for self parking was a surprise, but there is in/out privileges.

Good location, but noisy because we were on the promenade side of the hotel. Other than that it was fine. I would stay there again.

Great hotel close to the harbour and city

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Cons: A big minus: Wifi or Internet 9.95 Dollar extra for 24h!!! That should be included these days....
Location: Rent a bike just around the corner and go the "17 Miles drive" - great tour - wonderful views!
We had three very nice days at the hotel. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurants and Fisherman's Wharf were very close and just around the corner a bike-rental and a Starbucks-Coffee across the street! (free Wifi and Internet!) The value for money was excellent.

Excellent location and facility

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Pros: The location was excellent
Cons: Nothing that I can suggest.
Location: Mentioned above
I have to say that this was my favorite place I stayed at in my resent trip to California. Excellent location right in the middle of town. We could walk through the town, to fishermans wharf and a stone throw to the beach. Lots of place to eat 5 minutes or less. The facility itself was excellent, clean, great staff and good food.

Lovely Stay

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: The food, the staff, the room, everything!
Cons: really, $20 for valet parking a day? Oh, and the pool is too far away. Not that you can do anything about that.
Location: Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row, the ocean, Carmel...the list goes on.
Other than the outrageous $20 daily parking fee ($3 less without valet), the whole experience was wonderful. We felt like royalty, and slept like babies (although the local birds are surprisingly noisy when flying by...lol). Jack's Restaurant was top notch, beautifully staffed, and the food outstanding. Our 11 year old, who hates anything touching on her plate, ordered the only thing she thought she could eat--the lemon rosemary chicken (with a sophisticated gravy) and after a first trepidatious bite, inhaled it. Later she'd say it was the best part of the whole trip!
