I really enjoyed my stay at the Martine Inn. The property itself was a taste of the past, and the rooms were eccentric. The staff were incredibly friendly. The hotel was situated right next to the sea, which made for lovely views. There was a breakfast bar included in the stay which was so-so. Some aspects of the rooms could benefit from modernization but I understand the intent to preserve the past. The beds were slightly uncomfortable but very clean and fairly large. Overall would recommend for a 1 night stay.

The best place to stay in the area, by far!
The best place I've ever stayed. I have stayed there about 5 times in all. Stayed in many of the rooms and they are all wonderful. The staff is fantastic. Feels like home. The food is beyond delicious. My partner and I plan on returning next year. We go every year for our joint birthdays. Its the best relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. We would live there if we could.

Charming hotel, full of authentic furnishings. The Walnut Room, where we stayed, opens onto a lovely courtyard with a fountain and koi pond. Hors d'oeuvre plate in the evening and a fabulous cooked to order breakfast are highlights. The property is showing its age a bit and the room was a bit cramped for two, but this is a unique experience that shouldn’t be missed.

The Martine Inn oozes with charm from every inch of the property. The location is perfect right on the water. The house itself is gorgeous and well run. Our Early American suite was well decorated, comfortable, and I loved the clawfoot tub in the bathroom. The staff are attentive but not intrusive. The food is also delicious. I will definitely come back when I return to Monterey/Pacific Grove.

An old property. The best part of this place is the location. The ocean is right across the street. If it wasn’t for that the place would be very overpriced. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

What a delightful place to stay. I felt spoiled with wine and hors d'oeuvres when we first got there. The representative that showed us around was so nice. We ended the stay with this delicious breakfast on fancy silver and China settings. The views from the Inn was breathtaking. So much fun and will definitely go back soon.

In town for a friends birthday. Driven by location many times thought we’d try. If you don’t get one of the 8 spots in front you have to find a spot on the street. Host super friendly gave us a tour. Room was quaint with a great view and quiet. Breakfast was yummy and old school served on silver platter. They have a afternoon happy hour wine and eat room gets a plate of cheese salami. The place is dated could use some TLC .

This inn is fabulous. Beautiful view of the Bay. A feeling that you have stepped back in time. The staff was amazing. The room was immaculate. Easy walking distance to the Aquarium and Cannery Row. Highly recommend!

Room was dirty and ratty. Rips tears and broken fixtures. Host was awful. Cocktail hour was sparse. Staff did not seem to care. So so disappointed. Will never return. Plus they were doing road construction and it was difficult getting in and out of Inn. The room was expensive and I felt cheated and taken. Unsafe stairs. So happens I even fell down stairs. They did not even care. Feel I need a refund. Never been so disappointed with satay before. Something needs to be done.

This is a very lovely, classic bed-and-breakfast and the staff is extremely welcoming and kind. The property itself is beautiful and it's in a great location. We were super happy with our stay and would gladly visit again.

The food and service were both excellent. Even with a regional power cut, they managed to provide a great breakfast with a smile. Wine and hor d'hoeuvres was a nice touch in the evening. The only thing I missed was not being able to make coffee in my room.

Wonderful two- night stay!
It was a beautiful and fabulous location. Across the street from the ocean, walking distance to the Aquarium and Cannery Row. Wonderful breakfast and evening happy hour food. Beautiful ocean views from the breakfast room and some of the guest rooms. Beautiful old Victorian with antique furniture.

Delightful stay at Martine Inn!
We had an unexpected delight at the Martine Inn! The atmosphere is lovely and soft and reminds you of yesteryear. Our host was extremely welcoming and informative. The room was super clean and the breakfast was delicious and served on a silver tray! You can walk for miles along the most beautiful waterside views in California, right outside the door. Enjoyed every part of our stay.

everything was dated, old, and in bad need of upkeep!! all the furniture were aged and falling apart. the pool table was outdoors and was in bad shape. all the tips were broken on the ques. the garden view was no garden(weeds, junk piled up and an old shed piled with more weeds) no ,microwave, no television, and "no coffee" in the rooms!!! this place has potential but falls short....

Sorry you feel this way. We are quite proud of our beautiful antique collection. As for our garden, we have nothing but beautriful flowers growing at the moment. As far as the lack of microwave and tv in the rooms we try our best to mimic the Victorian asthetic as best we can. We do have a TV in the common room for use at any time of day. We have a fully stocked coffe and tea bar which we keep fresh out daily in the lobby from early morning to late evening. We are sorry you felt this way and we hope on your next stay we can leave you with a better memories of our inn.

The room was very small, dirty, and old. Heater wasn't working and Wi-fi connection was poor. Their website advertises that they include a queen sized bed but it was actually a full sized bed. Our room was located in the courtyard and it was very loud when guests sat in the courtyard or played in the pool room. Food was average and it tasted like it came store bought from the grocery store. The only positive is that it is located near Cannery Row. For the amount of money that I paid I would have expected something better.

Sorry you didnt enjoy yourself. All of our food is prepared from scrath. Housekeeping does an excellent job of cleaning. We do not have any full sized beds on the property. Only king and queens beds. Maybe youre critiquing the wrong hotel.

The entire stay was perfect, from the moment we walked in the door. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. The inn is beautiful, and the view beyond compare. Love the vintage MG collection! And really good coffee in the lobby 😋

A mini fridge in the bathroom? That is unacceptable. The internet was so slow, they might as well have not had it. I expect working internet for $300 per night. An over priced property.
